DHS Hurricane 3 Neo: The Complete Amateur Guide & Review

I was leaving practice a couple of days ago when a Chinese guy I have hit with a couple of times showed me his new bat. It was bought online for 300 yuan and has Hurricane rubbers on it. The black had blue sponge and the red had the orange sponge, but they were both super sticky/tacky. He is not a very good player and speaks very little English so I will get one of my other Chinese friends to find out more information and I'll try and have a hit with it, but I couldn't believe how tacky the rubbers were and I really didn't look at the blade, but it was a complete bat he purchased.

Could be a very old DHS premade from before the tackiness decrease. :O

The bat didn't look like old stock and I honestly couldn't believe how tacky the rubber was, both sides. I'm playing tomorrow and if he turns up I'll try and get some more information

Could be a very old DHS premade from before the tackiness decrease. :O

I find the star national to be very tacky from TT11 even after three layers of booster. Prott, some star national haven’t been tacky at all, take that how you want…. Plus anyone used this DHS tack restorer? got it and waiting for some sheets to oxidise more

Havent used it no! I also find 8-80 sometimes much tackier than a normal H3N provincial for example, varies a lot as well haha

All of my Provincial and National, NEO and non, to now have been very tacky initially, but it fades within a few hours. Actual grip doesn't really seem to, though, at least in high power shots.

My last sheets of Hurricane have been about the same as 09C and significantly less tacky than Rakza Z EH. If this guys bat is old stock, it must be at least a few years old but I guess if it's been in a sealed package that may have stopped it deteriorating.

Yeah is inconsistent, commercials are zero tacky nowadays mostly, provincials and nationals are ok, but degree of tack changes often

Opposite experience, and my Commercials have been the most tacky ones, with Provincial less, and National less again. I buy from good sources on Aliexpress.

Me too which is what it is, I always buy on beo or global sports and bought a lot Hence the inconsistent experience 😂
