I agree with you saying that feeling is a big aspect of equipment to use, but having a clearer idea of how a rubber plays would help you filter out and sorta pinpoint a few rubbers you might wanna try.

G1 in my opinion is a better bh rubber and hence why i recommended it. I have played with both rubbers a decent amount of time before and honestly G1 is much easier to use than Vega X. G1 is much more direct and rather linear and it feels safer in my opinion. Joshmak also said he wanted more...

Feeling wise it is indeed very different but its quite hard to find rubbers from diff brand that offers similar feeling. Id say the way the rubber play wise the omega vii series is on par if not better. omega series defo last longer from what ive experience.

If you want safety in your shot maybe go for something with a softer sponge? and since you are already looking at XIOM, maybe their Omega vii series will do you right. Though keep in mind that though the topsheet is grippy and open up against backspin is great imo, the topsheet is rather Grippy...

Maybe you can try the XIOM HUGO HAL blade if you can get your hand on one cuz apparently they stopped producing them, since you are already using xiom rubbers. The blade gives good mix of control and speed similarly to an inner carbon blade but offers "more" wood feeling. Great for looping back...

It has been a year or two since I used the tour version. I recall that the tour i Im using right now is slightly harder and faster. Im not sure about the top sheet differences though, i don't remember.
