Hi all,

I’m looking for some explanation on the differences between the three victas double extra rubbers, V15, 20 and 22 DEs.
I do want to purchase one to pair with a koki niwa blade I just got.

FYI, I’m currently using tbalc with dignics 05 on bh and xiom omega tour i on my fh. I also do have experiences with other rubbers such as Tibhar MX- series, tenergy, dignics 09c, etc…

Well what hardness do you want? V15 is the softest, the same as MXP.

20 is the hardest, but less hard than Dignics 09c.

22 is between 15 and 20.

hi thanks for helping,

I’m wondering if there is any other difference aside from hardness? And also a rough explanation on the top sheet and speed of the rubber would be much appreciated.

Well to me, 20 is the hardest and has the best top-end performance. But it is slightly more demanding to access the performance. So if you hit hard, then 22 has the best power.

15 is the softest and is easiest to access the speed. So it would be the fastest if you don't hit hard.

So you might want to use 20 on FH and 15 on backhand.

Thanks man, uhm one more thing…how would you compare the top sheet to rubbers like dignics 05 or Tenergy. Like tackiness, grip, etc.

Well none of those are tacky. All of them are very grippy. The diehards will argue that one is grippier than another, but I don't really see it in my experience.

All of them are within 2 or 3% of each other for grippiness.

Guys stop comparing apples and oranges.
V15 = T05 = MX-P classic tensors, non hybrids in the 47/48° ESN range

TDE = D09C = K2 hybrids in the 50+ range, the difference being the Victas TDE really behaves like a sticky H3 or Friendship BII, but not as durable.

V20DE = D09C/TDE + 2°

V22DE = K3 hybrids in the 55° range, harder than a D09C then, the V20 and V22 are TDE pushed to the max, but less scticky then, as a matter of facts.

V>22 is just a harder 50 degree V>15. Its not worth changing from V>15 to V>22. So its either you choose V>15 or V>20.

Now TDE is a hybrid thats very close to H3.

Off topic, whats the difference between the normal tour and the tour i that you have?

Where are you getting this info?
TDE is 57d hardness, so its much harder than v22 or v20. V22 is 50d, v20 is 53d.

I've used the TDE, it's nowhere near that hardness, bear in mind the victas hardness scale gives "in between" informations.

It has been a year or two since I used the tour version. I recall that the tour i Im using right now is slightly harder and faster. Im not sure about the top sheet differences though, i don't remember.

Does anyone of you have any longer experience with V>22 Double Extra rubber? There so little tests/opinions in the internet about it but it seems to be most used BH rubbers of course for those who are sponsored by Victas but also amateurs also mention that it is really good.

Recently I realized and it was confirmed that on blades like Viscaria (structure), I like to play with the rubbers of 50* degrees. The one which suits me the best so far is D05. I really like it, enjoy it, and feel it both in defense and in offensive play.
Someone would ask: Man this is one of the best rubbers if it suits you why you are looking something else? Nothing is like the D05 :)
Totally agree, but as you have already know me, I'm EJ :ROFLMAO: :p and sometime EJ calls me, try this, try that.... :D

So having 2 Golden Viscarias with the same FH rubber and playing with D05 as my standard weapon I can compare other rubbers.

V>22 Double Extra has been bothering me for a long time and I have never tried it before, I'm also looking for other 50*, i.e. Andro Nuzn 50 (but the price of this one scares me away :p) this is not a Dignics), Nittaku Genextion, maybe Donic Bluestar A2

At this moment I've 5 sheets (3 red, 2 black) NIB D05 as a backup :p so will stick to it and one D80 red, but V>22 DE drives me crazy :p

If anyone can share the experience would be grateful!

Yep, I have.

I use it as a BH rubber on some other blades such as Koki Niwa ZC, DHS HL5X and DHS W968 (and soon Yasaka Atletico Power).
It is very grippy, produces great spin on serves and pushes, it is fast.
Throw angle is low, quite stable on blocks; great speed on smashes.
The durability seems to be very good as I can judge it by now.

Try it, it is definitely worth a try.
