  1. ITTF Men's and Women's World Cup Macao 2026, 3/30-4/5

Okay this was the best session i've ever watched, including WTT. ITTF really stepped up their game with production levels. last year it sounded like the microphone was from the 40's and it just felt janky. Why do we opt for drawing the bracket? I get it makes for exciting matches but it just...
  2. Steve Dainton: "We want our athletes to earn what they deserve, but..."

i think one thing that wtt can definitely use is showing the actual commentators between matches, and let them run analysis and replays. they need to be the ones that bring deeper discussion of the sport to the people watching. things like tactics, types of serves, headfakes, so many things that...
  3. Steve Dainton: "We want our athletes to earn what they deserve, but..."

another example is ultimate frisbee. it struggled for a while but they put together a pro league (UFA fka AUDL). it still struggles. though, i remember getting excited when a frisbee play would be featured on ESPN top 10. can WTT send in a clip when kanak scores a hype point? lol. same feeling...
  4. Steve Dainton: "We want our athletes to earn what they deserve, but..."

this is a very interesting question - the west is so ingrained in their traditional sports mostly because it's been around longer. sports fans now are fans because they grew up watching. any new pro sport will be hard to break into mainstream (even with pickleball's popularity, still hard to get...
  5. Europe Smash Sweden August 14-24 2025

    TRULS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Europe Smash Sweden August 14-24 2025

zooming out, i must say this event is the most exciting in a while. wtt getting everything right: commentary, TTR, camera angles are getting better, youtube videos are prompt (i'd rather have full matches before highlights but i get their reasoning, highlights are catered to the masses)
  7. Best matches of contemporary table tennis?

this one comes to mind for me
  8. Finally grasped the essence of table tennis biomechanical principle Chinese style! (Chain reaction of power from the ground) (UPDATED AGAIN)

i know the feeling of a breakthrough! very excited for you, keep us posted. i found "drupe pong"'s video on biomechanics very useful in helping me come to a similar conclusion. The point that sticks with me is the one he talked about starting 3:36 in this video i agree that "weight transfer"...
  9. Harimoto Innerforce Super ALC

i forgot to update here, but i got frustrated with the setup because it felt pretty fast. i had been reading threads on here about how carbon can stifle a player's growth, and so i switched back to all wood for now. been really enjoying that (Loki V5 with G1 FH and DNA Pro M on BH).
  10. Harimoto Innerforce Super ALC

haha it's mostly a joke, where dignics rubbers automatically hit the table, like a robot aiming on the table
  11. Harimoto Innerforce Super ALC

okay, i finally got a chance to try my H SALC d09c + d05. for reference, i was using H ALC h3 + R7. i noticed this new setup was quite a bit faster, although noticeably not as fast as when i borrowed a FZD ALC d09c d05. the arc is higher than the FZD ALC, so i didn't bury as many balls into the...
  12. Harimoto Innerforce Super ALC

thanks for the review. i actually am running a similar setup (harimoto ALC H3 + Rakza 7) and I just bought SALC (09c +05), will post my review here once i test it in a month
