As the only intelligent species on planet Earth, mankind are always asking profound and deep subject such as:
1. How big is the universe?
2. When did time begin?
3. When will time end?
4. What was there before time begin?
5. What will be there after time end?
6. How do I know when to upgrade my material?

Listen up, nieces and nephews: Uncle Gozo speaketh:

7. Uncle G uses the set-up listed on the profile page for a couple of months now. Lovin'it.
8. However, yesterday Uncle dusted off old set-up which is BTY Falcima ( 5 ply all wood + fh Rasenter R48 + Donic Acuda S1 ) for casual play. You could say, for old time sake.
9. During stroking / warm-up practice, everything seems find and dandy.
10. FH? Checked = OK. Operational.
11. BH? Checked = OK. 30 - 40 drives to and fro, seems operational.
12. During game play, I have a problem! What problem? See Pt. Nos. 13 & 14.
13. The ball keep coming back! It is blocked back & countered and whats-not.
14. I suspect it is not the rubber's fault, but rather the thinner + not so stiff construction of a five ply all wood that reduces the power output by a certain percentage, or in another word, more energy is lost as vibration. The blade seems to have no stopping / killing power unlike the Seven Ply blade.
15. To answer question No. 1 to 5, go ask your someone else.
16. To answer question No. 6; read point No. 13 & 14.

That's it, nieces and nephews. Uncle Gozo: Helping the EJ family since 2021.

Are there only two alternatives, or approaches you can go about this subject?

You play with the gear that gives yourself the best feeling
or

You play the gear that gives your oppos the most trouble
I choose the later. Uncle G ain't got no love for feely-feelin' with me opponent. I am more of the type who do a one or two t'whack! Someone else pick up ball. Preferably not this uncle.
