Anyone here has tried both B3 purple and H8-20 and can compare between the 2?

I've been using the B3 for a month+ now on BH and I personally feel it is quite nice. I'm using my BH offensively and it is stronger than my FH. I've been playing daily for 2-3 hours in average the past month and I can say that it still feels like the first time I glued it on.

I'm not sure when I'm going to replace it since the B3 condition is still good but I've just been wondering if H8-20 (boosted) is any good.

I've played H8-80 but sadly too heavy (even tried the national one with uncut edges), and even more so combined with H3 on FH on a cybershape blade.

The one thing I notice is B3's topsheet came tackier and has stayed tacky all this time compared to H8-80, although they look identical, translucent red with visible pips.

Loki Rxton 7 really is a very peasant surprise for me. The commercial 40 degree version feels so nice and fun to play with. It's like a very good hybrid rubber from ESN or Butterfly. I did buy a sheet of pro version in 41 degree but that feels much harder and duller too. Not much fun either.
Maybe I got unlucky with the pro version since it has a glue layer in the sponge but when I removed the plastic foil the glue also came off in some places. So the next 15 minutes I spent rubbing off that goo.

Anyway the commercial 40 degree is very nice so I don't see much reason to get the pro version. It flgives me Tibhar K3 vibes, can be used on BH too in this hardness, so maybe the 39-40deg red pro version is something to look at if someone likes the rubber. I hope the glue layer is just an occasional mistake and not the norm.

Weight is pretty good too around 50-51g cut so very reasonable with similar hardness from Germany or Japan.

With the commercial 40 degree blue sponge version I really see no downsides, the grip is amazing, had a very nice catapult, it can handle very hard strokes, it works well with Joola Flash, Butterfly R40, DHS, Yinhe balls, speed and release angle is very nice and consistent. I think it's much better than LAC.
It feels pretty much like a tensor rubber too so I'd even recommend it as a gateway rubber but many might stick to it, since I don't ember so good hybrid from Chinese manufacturers especially around the 15-20EUR range, but I would say this is probably the best Chinese hybrid I played with and maybe even the best hybrid rubber period.

I'm recommending on ALC blade, on ZLC it felt weird to be honest but that might just be the blade. On ALC it felt good on normal Viscaria type, on faster ALC blade too. I didn't try it on inner but I imagine it is great there too.

Broken boundaries black, 40 degrees, 2.2mm, blue sponge. Measured hardness 51 degrees, thickness 2.1mm, weight 48g cut to 161x156mm. The topsheet is semi-tacky, can hold the ball for 1-2s and with the same pips geometry as H3 and B3. The rubber is flat, without a dome, and hard to tear when stretched, but not as hard as H3.

The playing characteristics are very close to boosted with 2 layers H3N BS 39. Probably a tiny bit higher throw and better block. Similar spin and speed. Is like B3 topseet with the blue sponge from H3.

Thx for the review! Can you elaborate on the topsheet feel and properties? E.g. Battle 2 is closer to the classical Chinese/viscous type, STN3 is thick and stiff, BD5 is softer and more synthetic in feel. Where would you put Broken Boundaries among these?

I can only compare it with STN2 STN1 (blue and yellow package, BS) H3, B3 and B3 purple. The topsheet feels the same as B3 and B3 purple, a bit softer than H3 BS topsheet, closer to red H3 OS. The sponge is similar to H3 BS, but with less density. STN2 is more sticky, oily, and not so spiny.

729 Broken Bounderies is not a fast or tensor rubber, but high speed is accessible on hard hits, same as H3. I don't know how behavior will change after 10 hours, but my initial impressions are very good for 16€ rubber.

Actually want to share my experience with Loki Rxton 9 (Blue sponge). Coming from Battle 2 National I would say this:
* The Loki has better grip (it just does not let the ball slip at any angle)
* The Loki is much slower
* The Loki has a much higher arc and feels safer
I would say that the Loki is very nice on the BH side, but on the FH side, at least for me, there's not enough power. There's definitely a lot of spin, and slow loops have great quality, short game is also nice. But for me it just lacks the power. And I've played with it for some time now - it became faster, but not even close tho the B2.
Important thing that I want to mention about the Battle 2 Nat - I've mostly played with the Red one, that is not with the Blue sponge.. then for the previous 3-4 months I played with a black one - blue sponge. I feel like they are very different. I actually did not like the black one. It did not feel as dynamic as the red one. Boosting did not help. So that's why, as a temporary measure(while I'm waiting for a red B2) I took the Loki, but I don't like it even more 😅
But yeah - overall I felt the Rxton 9 to have great grip and safety, but not enough power. I am not using a carbon blade, so maybe this is limiting me, but I am comparing to B2 on the same blade.

I doubt without booster because I'm using all wood OFF 5 plies.

With all wood 7 plies could be possible but I don't like because lacks control for my LP BH.
It depends on your level. And if Arthur China needs to be boosted for you on a 5 plys blade, then all chinese rubber will need to be boosted. There's no chinese rubber as dynamic as Arthur China, except the DHS Gold Arc tensors.

It's a good description. There are 3 chinese rubbers on which I felt the factory booster :
- LAC
- Big Dipper
- Jupiter 3
Which one of these 3 rubber lighters in weight and spin similar to DHS HURRICANE 3 NEO level.

Big Dipper is probably the closest in weight, it's the only one with a dense blue sponge. In term of spin, I'm not a machine and can't tell how fast a ball is spinning without spinsight, which I don't have access to. My impression is that the 3 I mentioned and the H3 Neo spin the same.

Sorry to hijack this thread.
I am looking for a rubber similar to DHS H8. I had it on my first ever racket. It is already 5 years old and still unbelievably sticky and consistent.

I heard that DHS changes the formula and none of their rubbers are sticky anymore. I tried newer H8-80 and H8-20, both are mediocre sticky and have different feeling. I haven't tried newer production of H8 (maybe i should).

The old H8 has 0 bounce effect. On hard hits i can feel the ball sinking into the rubber, and i can control where the ball is going because the lack of bounce effect. But the ball will still shoot fast!

For me, this type of rubber is better than hybrid rubbers. Anyone maybe has a similar experience?
