Thank you man got yesterday some nice results with Lac i'll focus on it for few months do you think Lac pro is an upgrade of Regular Lac ?
I compared 2 sheets and yeah the pro version is an upgrade, especially for my bh usage.Thank you man got yesterday some nice results with Lac i'll focus on it for few months do you think Lac pro is an upgrade of Regular Lac ?
Well I think more consistent than normal LAC and more durable for now. Other playing proterties are very similar, hard to notice. If you have normal LAC just use it until dies, when you order new just get the Pro, there's no tangible difference in price between them.Thank you man got yesterday some nice results with Lac i'll focus on it for few months do you think Lac pro is an upgrade of Regular Lac ?
trying to wrap my head around the different versions:Purchasing two sheets of the Ghenghaida Flood "Flagship Version", 38 deg with blue speed sponge. The red top sheet with blue sponge (which Yang Xiaoxin uses) comes in only 38 and 39 deg, and the speed sponge is, according to them, better for close to the table attacking which is more my style. Wasn't a big fan of the normal version, but generic chinese rubbers can always be hit or miss.
Yeah it's insanely confusing and I neither read nor speak Mandarin.trying to wrap my head around the different versions:
the 38° blue "speed" sponge you are referring to is only available with red topsheet and it's 350.04cny, correct? and which one was the "normal version" you tried, the black one with blue sponge for 153.5cny?
Do you use the 39 or 40 version unboosted?Yeap, that one. Haven't tried the national versions. This one seems good enough.
you refer to the 41-42° sponge i assume? for me the 39-40° actually felt softer than the Quanshibao F1. i didn't weigh it but it didn't feel particulary heavy either. have to say i was quite happy with it straight away, mid-distance loops were a charm, i only had to get used to the short play as it's a bit more bouncy than the F1 i played with before. unfortunately hit the table corner and ripped the topsheet quite badly on the second day, so waiting for a replacement now.Yes, this is the Pro one.
Cuifeng more heavy and hard and Chinese blue sponge like.
I use 39 degrees. Can't think of a reason to go with the harder ones.Do you use the 39 or 40 version unboosted?![]()
Is the 39-40° the medium or hard? Cuifeng, that is..Yes, this is the Pro one.
Cuifeng more heavy and hard and Chinese blue sponge like. Durability is very good. It's not that bouncy but not slow it's hard and quite fast. Needs good power to be hit through but if you manage to it's so good and rewarding.
Quanshibao is a bit less sticky a bit faster and easier to use. It's lighter than Cuifeng and maybe has less top potential but also it's so much easier to use that probably it's more suitable for most people.
LAC is maybe the most sticky out of the 3, has a cake sponge so it feels to most soft and bouncy by default. Easier to use than Cuifeng, not sure about the Quanshibao F1, that is quite easy. Weightwise also similar to F1. F1 is for sure more Chinese like than LAC, LAC is more similar to D09c or K3. Durability is questionable for sure but accessibility is the best among all. I like to use it for sure, but the others as well, I can rotate among them.
that's medium. hard is 41-42°.Is the 39-40° the medium or hard? Cuifeng, that is..
I bought the B3 purple 40 for my FH.Red B3 purple has slightly softer topsheet than red H3N orange sponge. The difference is not big, but it is there. I am using weak booster with forever like duration - falco platinum. Also, my H3N OS is 2.1mm vs 2.2mm for B3 purple. Probably because all of that, I find the both rubber so similar. Even with a 4 degree difference in measured hardness.
Keep in mind that OS is easier to engage than BS. With the same measured hardness, H3N BS feels harder than OS. One of my setups has H3 BS 39 on FH, and it is easy as OS - solution was blade with soft top ply veneer and some flex (980XX).
From my level the main advantage of B3 purple is the spin level and supposed resistance to oxidation. I like to rotate rubbers and this dome can be an issue if increases with time. In any case, I ordered one regular B3 for backup.
Strange. What color B3 purple did you have? My red sheet has a higher throw than black H3N 39 BS, but below G09C. Also, faster than H3N, significantly slower than Mantra Pro HX.I bought the B3 purple 40 for my FH.
It's a very fast and direct rubber, throw is quite low.
I didn't like it for my FH at all. The trajectory of the balls didn't fit me, and there was a feeling that i was lacking dwell-time.
Tried it out on my BH instead, and here it's a different story. Really liking the speed and power it generates.
I think this is going to replace my usual H3N 38deg.
I was really surprised by the speed of this rubber. It is quite a lot faster than even Donic C2.
Same story except throw angle, I do think it have average throw, higher than B2 Gold I used previously. Still fins it’s throw angle very odd, sometimes it grips the ball so well it shoots out two meters away from the table, other time I can’t even lift average backspin. I attribute it to low dwell time. It’s especially apparent when you spin check with the ball. At first hit, ball goes very high, and after second bounce it’s average. Compared to D05, which have first low bounce and very high second bounce.I bought the B3 purple 40 for my FH.

I would guess that your blade is not sealed. I glue my B3 purple from the second try - 1 layer on the blade, 2 layers on the rubber, DHS 15. Next time I will use sticky sheet.Same story except throw angle, I do think it have average throw, higher than B2 Gold I used previously. Otherwise I find this rubber very aggressive. Same amount of spin as B2 Gold, maybe less haven’t checked with spinsight yet, and much higher speed than any tacky rubber. Other problem is lack of feedback. With B2 Gold I can feel the ball with any touch. B3 Purple has muted vibration, which I don’t like. I feel lack of feedback most when serving. I can’t even tell how much spin I am giving, so when opponent returns me, I feel hesitant cause I can’t exactly gestimate amount of spin.
Reglued it yesterday, still as curly as heck. When I removed rubber from the blade, most of the glue left on the surface of the blade. Does it mean I did poor gluejob (heh)? Do I need to use more or less glue?
No, had this with all my B3s and also with a B2 Soft. Some factory stuff on the sponge that should go away when removing the glue. Next gluejob should be fine....

I have never boosted my rubbers before and I've not had a complaint about them. I use H3P Neo BS 40 degs(which I peeled the neo layer off) on FH and H8-80 38 degs on BH. Most people like to boost their rubbers for better speed but honestly I quite like the feel of unboosted rubbers and it makes me feel more controlled and precise but can still loop quite well in intense ralliesWell what to say? I guess the list is like best sticky FH rubbers that don't need boosting that are made in China. I think many people like me don't fancy boosting that much, so we look for the holy grail of rubbers that is like a boosted H3N BS for cheap.
My list is below but probably incomplete, and as a reminder no boost, not even factory boost.
-1, Pinyi Cuifeng 39-40deg. I think this has the most potential as a non boosted H3 BS alternative. It's about as fast as Rozena or Glayzer, quite sticky, has bounce, feels good to use, it's cheap as hell at 14USD in China, durable and you can feel the ball's weight very well on your racket, maybe next to none on this regard. Negative is that it's a bit on the heavy side and pretty much unavailable besides taobao or certain sellers.
-2, Quanshibao F1, I can say about the same as the Cuifeng but it's a bit slower, a bit less catapulty and a bit less durable, a bit more expensive at 18USD and it's a bit lighter. I think it's a huge win rubber.
-3, Loki Arthur China, I'm pretty sure it's a different manufacturer and different concept but good sticky grip, good speed, has some bounce, not too heavy, used to be cheap but it's actually getting expensive, consistency of the sponge is so-so and it possibly can bubble up fast so durability is questionable at best and shit at worst. However it performs very well until it lasts.
-4, Double Fish Qiji red sponge (spin). It's a bit similar to the Loki but durability is better, the topsheet has some magic, it stays sticky forever, sponge is bouncy enough, bit heavy but it's like a D09c lite.
-5, Hurricane 8-80, also a bit like a D09c lite, but weight is all over the place, from 49g cut to 55g, H8 topsheet is very sticky, it has some bounce but also very hit and miss, durability is good. I think it's a fairly safe rubber to get.
-6, Quanshibao P1, weird since the manufacturer rates this above F1 in all metrics, but I disagree. I think too hard and heavy, F1 is much better.
-7, Sanwei New Target National, light, cheap, available, durable, good stick, decent speed, linear catapult, but kinda flat arc, I feel like the sponge doesn't support much at all so it bottoms out fast on hard blades. On slow soft blades it's not fast enough.
-8, Palio The Way, initially I said this is like a 50 degree ESN killer and I think so and maybe even a first rubber to enter the sticky Chinese rubber world. For that reason I would recommend it the most. Perfromance is quite good and easy to use, OK weight, however for me the sponge didn't last long, after 2 hours it felt amazing after 10 hours it felt broken. I know most people won't break the sponge like I do but I'm telling you that if you hit hard maybe it will become unpredictable faster than others.
-9, H3N, yeah if you don't boost H3N is about here.
I didn't try everything Chinese but this is a pretty comprehensive list for some people to get started or acquainted to Chinese rubbers.
Some mentioned from others which I didn't try but could be good:
-Quanshibao S08
-Chonglan Lanfeng
