Looking for Limba Outer Carbon

Hi guys,

I am looking for a Limba outer carbon blade with preferably a bigger headsize. So not the standard butterfly 157x150, wich is why the Freitas ALC wouldn't be ideal.

I am getting older and need power-support so that my Boom shots on underspin (my signature) will come more effortlessly.
Currently playing TMXi Pro + 09C/D05 + D80.

Would much appreciate your advice.

Just an idea - a tweak to your current racket.
I am getting older too, but find more head heavy blades harder to swing fast these days. The other day I tried something different - I took edge tape from top of blade (Yinhe pro 1) and wrapped around the bottom of the handle, shifted 2g from head to handle (4g shift) and I was able to swing faster and create more attacking balls with the same racket. People commented that I seem to be playing a bit faster.
Just thought I share a no cost tweak

I'm 54 and have not been playing for long, so I've been using a Palio R57 at 75 grams for the training sessions after the summer break. It seems better than the Yasaka Sweden Extra that I used from april to July.
It's not as fast as an outer carbon blade though.

Maybe Long 5A can be suitable for u. The outer layer is Limba and with the yellow AC. U can give a chance to this blade.

Hurricane Shin has an outer version. I assume DHS will have a bigger surface compare to butterfly blades

I know you said bigger headsize, but the Tibhar Estoque fits your bill pretty well. Limba outer carbon composite. Good control, great power, and a bit more head heavy so it doesn't feel flimsy. Estoque Review

Doesn't TMXi pro have a larger face already? Acoustic carbon special? Just realize that most larger size blades are actually inner carbon

Yes but I am looking for an outer carbon. TMXi is still inner and holding back a little too much for my taste. I would like to switch to outer, but I am scared of Koto - thus looking for an outer limba blade.

Was playing with DHS AcB before and I loved it, but I made so many dumb mistakes due to the Koto. So many miss shots. Tried that blade for over half a year but I can't get into the Koto feeling.

What about the Nittaku acoustic carbon? I had the inner version for quite awhile. It went well with harder rubbers - D05.
The Butterfly Freitas alc can go pretty fast with Nitakku Hammond z2 (2mm) rubbers on the forehand, I use Battle 2 (39) on the backhand - that is my back up blade. I know someone else uses Tenergy 05 and Rozena on theirs.

Actually the Carbonados use Textreme-Carbon, which is not the same as Fleece-Carbon. Fleece-Carbon is a non-woven sheet of fiber, and it is a very subtle reeinforcement. Textreme (or Spread Tow) however is regular woven carbon, albeit very thin. But Textreme does feel noticeably different from ALC, yes.

The Carbonado 145/190 are pretty much on the same level speed-wise as the Viscaria or Freitas for instance, so you wouldn't gain much. The 245/290 would be much faster, but if I'm not mistaken, these were discontinued.
If I were you I would take a look at the Tibhar VS Unlimited. Speed-wise a notch up from the Freitas and slightly wider blade head (157x152 mm). Chunky handle as well, but still comfortable to hold. Even a little bit faster would be the Tibhar Fortino Pro, which uses Dyneema.

That is a SERIOUSLY FAST rebounding blade with one of the best handles EVER.
Maybe downgrade expectations of Limba to HINOKI and go with Donic Waldner Legend that has less rebound, better feel and still a great top end on well struck balls with big spin that Hinoki is LUV'd upon by Koreans.
