  1. Hinoki blades are good to block or chop block with long pips?

I also play a one ply hinoki on one of my setups and have a game based on blocking. Those blades are wonderful for blocking, especially for punch blocks. Put short pips on the blade for added menace 😬
  2. Sanwei BravoBee Carbon Pre-made Table Tennis Bat Review

Oh yeah I had forgotten about Giant Dragon premades. At a base level, I'm far more confident that a Chinese-brand premade will be spinnier than a non-Chinese branded premade. I'm less concerned about whether a bat is fast or not simply because it's hard to play without spin in the first place.
  3. Sanwei BravoBee Carbon Pre-made Table Tennis Bat Review

Pre-made bats have a (deservedly) horrible reputation among club table tennis players so where might the Sanwei BravoBee Carbon sit within that mix? I’ve seen many during my time and have recommended the Yinhe 01B and Palio prebuilds including the Palio Expert bats as some of the few stars in...
  4. Review: Sanwei Surge Prism Inner Carbon Blade

Welcome! Hope all this info helps me make the best possible decision for your game!
  5. Review: Sanwei Surge Prism Inner Carbon Blade

Consider the Tibhar Hybrid MK or the Stiga DNA Hybrid M if you want a bit more punch compared to the Sanwei Gear Hyper. There's a drop in control of course from the added bounciness.
  6. Review: Sanwei Surge Prism Inner Carbon Blade

Hey! Thanks for the feedback! Not currently focused on the Nitro but I've just reviewed the Froster Pro which could be worth a look from Sanwei's stable? I forgot to properly illustrate in my Prism review that the blade was actually 93g and it weighed 189g when paired with a 35 degree Sanwei...
  7. SANWEI Froster Pro,based on feedback from ALL marketing info, a comprehensive upgrade for Froster.

https://www.tabletennisdaily.com/forum/topics/review-sanwei-froster-pro.38873/ My review is up now :)
  8. Review: Sanwei Froster Pro

Sanwei was kind enough to send over their new Sanwei Froster Pro for review recently - I was looking forward to trying it out since I had a good experience with their top end Sanwei Froster PBO. First off, the Sanwei Froster comes in the same light blue case that also comes with the Froster...
  9. Review: Sanwei Surge Prism Inner Carbon Blade

Just took a Sanwei Froster Pro which is feeling on the lighter side!
  10. Review: Sanwei FireFlash Table Tennis Shoes

Mine don't loosen at all - I wonder if your lacing system is faulty as I've had mine for over a year now and never had to retighten
  11. Review: Sanwei FireFlash Table Tennis Shoes

Recently saw that Sanwei has 2 new colourways for their shoes and the Fireflash and Skystrike are now out of stock. The gold edition looks gorgeous! GoldGlide AquaPulse
  12. SANWEI NEW three blades, Surge series.

I've written out my thoughts in a review now - https://www.tabletennisdaily.com/forum/topics/review-sanwei-surge-prism-inner-carbon-blade.38277/
  13. Review: Sanwei Surge Prism Inner Carbon Blade

Sanwei recently released a new series of blades aimed at the club players transitioning from all wood blades to fiber blades. Dubbed the Surge series, these new blades offer fresh choices for the discerning equipment junkie looking for quality in their journey 😊 I got the Surge Prism to try...
  14. Sanwei Hyper Gear vs. Sanwei Target National for Forehand – Which One is Better?

They're quite different rubbers with different aims so it's not really to say which is 'better'. The Gear Hyper is a high control semi-tacky rubber with enough speed to play offensively and isn't too bouncy either. It's not a particularly fast rubber and it's not one you'd use to defend either -...
  15. Sanwei Echo and Parla review - 2023 new all wood table tennis blades

Nice! Glad you found the review and the blade useful for your game!
  16. Review: Sanwei Target National - Player Edition (Gordanga)

Target National rubbers seem to last forever in my experience, even if they're heavily marked....! I definitely take feedback on reusing the marketing phrases from companies about their products though worth noting that Sanwei has different brand name recognition in different places. Since the...
  17. Review: Sanwei Target National - Player Edition (Gordanga)

    Well, it's excellent fun! :D
  18. SANWEI NEW three blades, Surge series.

Think they took copied it from Sanwei's website - that comparison visual is on each of the Surge series pages :D https://sanweisport.com/en/product/blade/surge-series/prism-inner-alc-blade/
  19. Review: Sanwei Target National - Player Edition (Gordanga)

I've only had the 37° version sent to me so I can't share more considered thoughts on that version yet compared against the STN. Based on Sanwei's numbers, the 39º should be similar speed to the STN with less spin potential in exchange for more control and a slightly higher throw angle
  20. Review: Sanwei Target National - Player Edition (Gordanga)

Lighter than a cpen cut Stiga DNA Hybrid M (47g) too! I even made sure to cut this Target to the standard Shakehand cutting. When I had the DNA hybrid M (with a cpen gap cut) plus xiom vega euro H on the DHS fang bo b2x cpen with some grip tape on the handle = 196g My review setup weight is...
