  1. Hurricane Long 5 (new) incoming

From my understanding, it's the exact opposite. It means how much energy is absorbed. Higher number means less catapult/bounce/speed.
  2. Hurricane Long 5 (new) incoming

I received it today. Played a couple hours. The handle is a bit tiny but I think I can get used to it.
  3. Hurricane Long 5 (new) incoming

It's dampening ratio. Translates as Bounce attenuation ratio. I received my blade. And this here attached is the test report card translated to English. Higher number is low catapult is more dwell (theoretically atleast).
  4. Hurricane Long 5 (new) incoming

Haha. On paper, the handle is smaller than what I'd prefer. Remains to be seen though if the dragon's blade would help awaken the dragon within me.
  5. Hurricane Long 5 (new) incoming

Thanks. Will add that to the list.
  6. Hurricane Long 5 (new) incoming

Yes I guess I will too. Anyway, I wanted to try long 5 with something other than H3 first, to experience how much the blade by itself adds in feeling and dwell before I go all in with a hard sticky chinese rubber. Also, Yet to EJ Rakza Z Extra Hard, Unboosted H3 BS 38/39 and Unboosted Battle2...
  7. Hurricane Long 5 (new) incoming

Every HL5 comes with a card containing its details, like width of blade, weight of blade and a ratio, usually between 0.6 and 0.7 which corresponds to the amount of dwell the blade can achieve. Some like it dwelly, some like it crisp. But you can rather get a viscaria or timo boll ALC if you...
  8. Hurricane Long 5 (new) incoming

Hello everyone! I am receiving an HL5 FL (new) as a gift from someone who was in the UK this week. He wouldn't understand the concept of just the blade being an adequate gift and was adamant to complete it with both the rubbers. Although I have been lately playing the H3 Neo blue 40 2.1 FH and...
  9. Need advise for my backhand rubber (Currently Rakza Z)

I am doing fine with my defensive game but was contemplating if a thinner sponge like Rakza Z 2.0 or a deader sponge like an unboosted H3 neo (softer than my FH) might give me more confidence to execute flicks and loops with my BH. Generating more power is not a problem for me. In need of more...
  10. Need advise for my backhand rubber (Currently Rakza Z)

My setup: Yinhe Pro 01 (happy as of yet but looking to switch to Viscaria or similar soon), FH: H3 Neo Blue Provincial 40 2.15 boosted, BH: Rakza Z max thickness. I am a spin-based player and like to put on either topspin or backspin on everything. Compared to my loops and pushes, I struggle a...
  11. Enjoying Tensor to Hybrid transition. Should I go full tacky next?

Jupiter 3 and battle 2 were on my list when I chose to play it safe with Rakza Z.
  12. Enjoying Tensor to Hybrid transition. Should I go full tacky next?

After a couple of months with this Rakza Z, will try boosting it one layer and give it a go.
  13. Enjoying Tensor to Hybrid transition. Should I go full tacky next?

    That's encouraging to hear. Cheers.
  14. Enjoying Tensor to Hybrid transition. Should I go full tacky next?

Yea a pity I didn't try a tacky rubber earlier.
  15. Enjoying Tensor to Hybrid transition. Should I go full tacky next?

But is a hybrid as good as a boosted provincial?
  16. Enjoying Tensor to Hybrid transition. Should I go full tacky next?

Hello all. An Intermediate here. Have never played Chinese rubbers before, mainly because everyone suggested that I need high technique and full stroke and Chinese DNA. Recently switched my FH from Rasanter R48 to Rakza Z. Enjoying the change. Don't mind applying the little bit extra power...
