  1. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

i dont want to curb your enthusiasm, but the flaw to not be able to predict where your opponent will play will not be learned by using a robot. With the robot you can perhaps improve your reaction to unexpected balls, but predicting where your opponent plays has much more to do with how the...
  2. Looking For Feedback On 3rd Ball Attack

i think it is hard to judge if the ball contact is not shown. you seem to properly go down before the stroke. i dont think it is an issue to target the middle/elbow on the open up, if it is deliberate of course. funnily had a similar session today and placed the camera at the right side corner...
  3. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

You would actually reverse engineer your tactics by using your strongest strokes as target. So if you are very good finishing a point with your backhand by smashing it, what are the two or three strokes that most often lead to that situation ? i.e. If you like to banana flick wide to the...
  4. Genextion V2C opinions?

dude, whatever you are searching for, this rubber is not it. It is unremarkable in every aspect. Not sticky, not really a hybrid, just a mild tensor in 53°. There are tons of rubbers with that hardness probably play alike.
  5. First try - W968 Ma Long edition

And you think it's all the blade and not the fact that this dude probably took very good care about how to boost the rubbers and change the rubbers frequently too keep the top notch performance? Without you using your rubbers on it, I would not give too much about these experiences.
  6. My apologies

I don't know the TTD forum rules by heart, but basically in any forum there is the rule "first search the forum for your topic before you open a new topic". This is a general and smart forum rule and FrenchFrog has to live with people reacting offended if he is too lazy to search the forum and...
  7. To lob or not to lob?

It might be you copying players that "taught themselves" tabletennis and simply can not play something else. What i noticed in some clubs is that players with "too fast" equipment try to play that way, because if they play closer to thet able the shoot balls out/long too often. regular lobs...
  8. New Equipment choice feedback

dont get carried away by reading reviews of rubbers that are 5 degrees harder than what you are using right now. You will be way worse with them and if you add a fast blade, you will probably not even be able to generate spin with them, because the ball will leave the bat much faster than you...
  9. DHS H301z to replace my Samsonov Force Pro Black Edition?

The 301z is allegedly also a deep hold blade according to ttgearlab measurements. I got one and let's just say that it was not a revelation coming from a w968 provincial, so not different enough to switch to it. Playing an Acoustic now which is a totally different ballpark
  10. New Genextion V2C (Hybrid) from Nittaku

i wonder if this stop of production of these tacky rubbers via ESN coincides with the less tacky DHS Hurricane 3s. Perhaps the chemicals to make the topsheet sticky became either unreasonably expensive or where banned by some commission. Let's be honest. If there was a study that chemical xyz...
  11. New Genextion V2C (Hybrid) from Nittaku

a rubber does not get less bouncy after the alleged breaking in, so in terms of hybrid properties it could only get worse. i played it for about 4 to 5 hours i think.
  12. New Genextion V2C (Hybrid) from Nittaku

Yes, it is not really sticky. Similar to Vega Pro H and the like. On top of it there is no dampening effect in the short game. Nearly as bouncy as the regular genextion. I was very disappointed. Already removed it from my blade.
  13. Advice for new rubbers

LAC will be slower on weak to medium impact and pushes and only really more powerfull if you got a very decent acceleration on your loops. The omega 7 pro is much closer to your current rubber and definitely faster than the g-1. If you want to experiment, go for the xiom omega
  14. Advice for new rubbers

Loki Arthur China would be a good pick if you want something very spinny and also more powerful, but it will be much harder to activate than the g-1. I would guess most people playing g-1 would have difficulties switching to LAC on a Viscaria, but give it a try.
  15. Advice for new rubbers

So you want something less fast than a G-1 but still at least as spinny ? Sorry to break it to you, but the easiest way would be not to use an outer carbon. The viscaria itself will up your minimum speed already (if you dont plan to play unboosted chinese rubbers). Go for an 5ply wood with the...
  16. Xiom Omega 8?

roning team on youtube just reviewed the Omega 8 China and sometimes compared it to dig09c.
  17. Let Detector

but a net ball on serve that lands on the table afterwards is also a "let" ;)
  18. Let Detector

Nice attempts, but I can already see issues with some gym floors that transmit vibration on people stomping when serving
  19. Slow, Spinny and control oriented inverted rubbers

It depends on the state of your backhand rubber. If it is worn and the Vega intro is less worn I would indeed change back to it.
  20. Slow, Spinny and control oriented inverted rubbers

Vega Intro is 47° on the esn scale and it is more controlled than vega europe. If you want to teach stuff yourself and get many bad habbits, then vega europe will support that. Good luck trying to get that out of your system if you ever wanna beat somebody that is not totally clueless about...
