Your right it comes down to marketing, t05 released first and then new ones being less popular and I believe D@505 running on the huge success of T05 and together with most pros using D05 it means most people will follow the most popular one.

What is the blade and rubbers you tried from your friend then people may be able to suggest accordingly as we are still in the dark about the set up you liked. Viscaria is a fast blade and so is Tenergy so you could start with either changing blade only or the rubbers only first.
