  1. DHS 968 Thread

Looks very much like rubbers have been stuck and removed (badly) - did the blade have plastic wrap with validation code attached?
  2. Banish long pips

Long pips (and any other non standard rubber) can be a challenging experience for a double inverted player, but my view is that given what you have said about his physical condition, and his limitation in stroke making, the fact he beat you easily is a fairly damning indictment of your own TT...
  3. Went back to slower blade, now totally confused

Tough call - I don't have the answer but I have and continue to experience the same thing. I will adjust to a new setup and then revert to another one and find it feels great - however I do feel that this is, at least in part due to the change rather than the set up being inherently better.
  4. FS: Butterfly Freitas ALC

2022 blade with low usage (<30h) Flared handle / 90g and very good condition apart from very small dent on FH top side (see pic) Looking for £120 + postage
  5. SOLD

Purchased this alongside a Q968 from Pro TT around end Nov '24 and have decided I prefer the Q so selling this one. Flared handle and 94g weight. I have validated the code with DHS and confirmed it is original (sticker included) Has been tested / used around 20h so not much use. These are...
  6. XIOM C55 Impressions and Comparison with H3N

Strange - ive used D09C a lot and none of my sheets are anywhere near as tacky as my C55 sheets. Brushing works well for me with C55, similar to H3. it’s still the best alternative to boosted H3 for me.
  7. WE CHALLENGED GERMANY’S BEST JUNIORS!

Wow - great vid and fantastic effort but they were some serious players!
  8. Upgrading my Nittaku Fastarc G1.

I think C55 is more Chinese / H3 like than A1. It feels a bit more tacky and spin oriented but also a little easier to activate. I prefer C55 at this point.
  9. XIOM C55 Impressions and Comparison with H3N

I have played most hybrids and none of them could lift the ball but all were tacky, so I dont think thats a reasonable assumption. C55 is as much of a hybrid as K3 / A1 / D09C etc. Most of my sheets of H3 only just pick up a ball now, and they are sticky rubbers not tacky. Most of the hybrids...
  10. Which of the 4 Innerforce ALC blades is the best?

Franciska ZLC would be my choice
  11. The blade off Wang Manyu ??

I’ve got one for sale, if you’re interested send me a messsge.
  12. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Yep, understood - that’s what I experienced with nerve damage caused by disc sequestration, leading to muscle loss.
  13. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Sorry to hear that - 10 years ago I had the same for the second time, and the X-ray showed my disc had sequestrated/broken off and lodged in my sciatic nerve. The pain then stopped and became numb and they chose not to operate, but I have never recovered the nerve / feeling to my right calf and...
  14. Hybrid recommendations

Check out the other post on C55 - Vadym has used both and compares (with pics)
  15. Where can I get the best deal for DHS rubbers in the UK

I use Ali all the time - they usually add VAT at source so no issues there. Takes around 2 weeks and I have never had issues with the good stores.
  16. Hybrid recommendations

C55 is the best H3 alternative by far that I have tried - better than DG / A1 and K3 but maybe pretty similar to K3 pro
  17. XIOM C55 Impressions and Comparison with H3N

Fair points on the comparison with H3 BS. My experience has been fairly similar with my 968 but far less marked difference with my Viscaria. I feel the C55 is by far the closest to boosted H3 than any other hybrid I have tried - it does that job as well as can be done without boosting a rubber...
  18. XIOM C55 Impressions and Comparison with H3N

Let's hope it's just the looks that have faded and not the performance..
  19. XIOM C55 Impressions and Comparison with H3N

Tried my sheet on my trusty old Viscaria last night along with V47.5 on BH - was very impressed with both on this slightly crisper/faster blade. Total weight 195g but felt supremely well balanced on this blade (smaller head and bigger handle than 968) Speed, control and feel all very good indeed.
