  1. Different types of Butterfly Innerforce ZLC blades - Franziska vs Apolonia vs Harimoto vs Innerforce ZLC

Out of interest my Franziska (91g) is not much different to my Innerforce ZLC (92g) - Frans was a little softer and better feeling to me.
  2. Different types of Butterfly Innerforce ZLC blades - Franziska vs Apolonia vs Harimoto vs Innerforce ZLC

The only blade I know that might work for you, given what you say, is the Maze - I have one and it is like the Freitas but a little softer and less stiff - the inner blades are quite different in my experienice.
  3. Different types of Butterfly Innerforce ZLC blades - Franziska vs Apolonia vs Harimoto vs Innerforce ZLC

Maybe I missed this but I’m not clear what you don’t like about the Freitas, and therefore what you’re looking for? Frans/Apolonia etc are very different than outer blades because they’re more woody and slower, which it seems you don’t like.
  4. DHS 968 Thread

Yes, both say 91g but both are 94g so total weight now 188/190g with fairly light rubbers
  5. XIOM C55 Impressions and Comparison with H3N

Great - they are very nice. My S968 is quite different from my Q958 - handle feels a little bigger and balance is slightly more to head which tends to make it feel heavier. On the positive side it is far closer to the feel of my Viscaria and a more dynamic blade with more speed (However at 95g...
  6. XIOM C55 Impressions and Comparison with H3N

Off topic but how are you finding the SYS blade? Is yours the commercial version or S968?
  7. San Francisco looking for training partner.

One data point only, and obviously subjective - having been a long term T05 user i ventured to buy a Japanese team T05 from Pro TT a few months back. To me it was a different level rubber and felt generally better than my other sheets. Difficuit to quantify but maybe slightly harder and tackier...
  8. Is 2.1 to 1.9 thickness noticeable?

You could always try an alternative BH rubber such as Xiom O7 Euro - it's a great BH rubber and much lighter than T19.
  9. DHS H3 and all versions

I am working through the same - with my original H3 OS 39/T05fx I am about 193g but with a new sheet of H3 40 BS and Xiom Omega 7 Euro I am now at 190g and it feels very balanced. Generally my OS H3 once boosted (and without glue) is 52/54g. I think the Euro is around 42/43g so that is the key...
  10. XIOM C55 Impressions and Comparison with H3N

Maybe so, but the only real reason for me to try C55 was to get H3 boosted performance without boosting
  11. XIOM C55 Impressions and Comparison with H3N

Played with my sheet again last night and was able to compare it to my H3 against some heavy long pips chops and I was surprised how much better the H3 still was at countering very heavy backspin - I think that the C55 is very good but it doesn’t perform better than boosted H3 for me.
  12. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

I suffer with this too - particularly when playing either a LP player or when I loop and then try to counter. Often my issue is that I tend to drop my bat/arm habitually and so mistime the shot that doesn't require this (or I hit it long or top edge)
  13. XIOM C55 Impressions and Comparison with H3N

Its been a while since I played DG bit my feeling is that speed is about the same - C55 feels more dynamic and a little less unforgiving to me so far.
  14. final of the Hereford Titans Veteran Tournament 2024 (Aug 25th)

Thanks for posting Vadym - a really interesting match and some very steady, consistent TT.
  15. XIOM C55 Impressions and Comparison with H3N

Thanks Tony - that's helpful. I have tried Vega pro in the past and found it a bit dull but thought Japan or Korea might be worth a look. I guess I could always add a layer of booster to the J&H to soften it a little (as I do with T05)
  16. XIOM C55 Impressions and Comparison with H3N

Given your experience can you recommend a Xiom rubber for my BH - I tend towards 43-48 degree and have enjoyed using T05Fx and Aurus soft but keen to try a Xiom option that is dynamic and spinny. I was thinking of trying Omega 7 Euro or pro or J&H V47.5?
  17. XIOM C55 Impressions and Comparison with H3N

I haven't played with Omega China but have been using a sheet of C55 for a week or so as a possible alternative to H3. It is a very impressive rubber - probably the best hybrid I have used on FH so far (up until this point I would have said Bluestar A1) Nice feel on ball, very spinny but also...
  18. Changing rubbers to change technique.

I am interested in this approach, but for me when I am looking for more forgiveness on BH I lean toward softer but less bouncy rubbers such as C1 or Aurus soft, Eve FXP etc rather than harder less bouncy rubbers which, for me at least, kill any opportunity to develop speed and pace of the BH. I...
  19. Table Tennis Badgers!

Nice blade and review NDH - that BH is looking very strong!
