I’ve recently been trying Aurus and Aurus soft (BH) and been struck how similar it feels to G1/C1 in the way it behaves. I really like both of them in terms of enough speed, spin and control but also accessibility and ease of use.
Has anyone else used both and if so what are your thoughts and...
Ma Long - a masterclass in tactics and execution. One of the finest performances I’ve seen in a long time. Those BH to wide FH were just breathtaking 🏓
I read so many of @Der_Echte posts about the joys of Aurus and Auras soft, that I finally decided to see for myself and have a sheet of each to try out (vs my D09c and D64 currently)
My understanding is that the dead zone would be like any other area of the table except the edge - if it bounces twice on the table you lose the point, so make sure you judge that second bounce likelihood and play accordingly with a push or flick (over the table shot) - because if you leave it...
Yes - but as the receiver it's incumbent on me to judge if the ball will bounce a second time on the table (anywhere - dead zone or not because if it bounces on the table the ball is good) and if I judge that it will, then I must take it earlier rather than wait. It is then the same as having to...
Wouldn’t it be incumbent on the receiver in this circumstance, to determine if the ball is going to second bounce in the dead zone(including the edge) - and if so play the ball before that happens? If it second bounces then the point is lost just like it would be in the game now (if you misread...
Very interesting blade (looks great too) - I am keen to see how it plays compared to say the Falcima, which is also a 5 ply with Koto outer and fairly fast. I have one on the way and am interested to see how it plays..
UnfortunatEly I have not tried the Magus - I stumbled on to the Vráblík as I picked it up used. It looks like the Vráblík is a little heavier and faster, but not by much. All I can say is that it seems to meet your requirements pretty well.
Have a look at the various Vodak options - I have a Horezsi and it's 88g but the range is lower to higher and he will customise. Fantastic blades and good value.
Putting the money issue aside, how would they even begin to plan a development path to international standard without moving lock stock and barrel to another country at a very young age?
Louis and a few others have/are playing overseas now but it looks to be too late for them to get where they...
I was thinking the same thing at the recent Nationals. On the male side Connor does look to have the potential, but watching him lose to Chris Doran rather put his current level in perspective - he should be comfortably beating Chris in my view if he is to get to even top 50. Louis has played in...
Yes - I have been playing with this blade (D09c / D64) for a while now - it’s a great blade. Good feel and soft touch with the right speed for me right now (off) Good handle and balance too. I also have the Horezci too with an inner carbon layer and it’s also very good.
I think QP is a good FH rubber - I preferred it to both QQ and Z2 as it is less bouncy and a little harder (on it’s way to D09c territory) It is heavier however so this may be a problem for you.
