  1. Advice on how I should play

Hard to give specific advice to a player without actually seeing them play. Oftentimes the player in question does not accurately assess their own strengths and weaknesses, in fact they may not even know them! So treated as a general question, you could get general advice. Work on your...
  2. Watch two long pips players compete

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DyFHh73i2yE You can see there against Barney Reed (2400 usatt), PB makes him play quite tentatively. It's not as easy you might imagine to force the shots you want on him. He is good at predicting the angles/placement and being there to meet the ball. I know PB...
  3. Watch two long pips players compete

He has a similar strategy as amir ahmed the anti spin bh and sp fh player. https://youtu.be/J0L1wozacgQ Amir has a better forehand smash, but still not great for his overall level. It works well enough to keep the pressure on. Though he still covers nearly as much of the table with his...
  4. Exhibition Fight with Timo Boll, Evgueni Chtchetinine and others

Evgueni is always such a joy to watch! He doesn't attack very often, but I think when he does attack the % of winning the point is very high in his favor. His shots often get blocked long, and I doubt he's a top spin monster... I would imagine he attacks so rarely meaning the opponents don't get...
  5. CNT's WTTC Warm-Up Matches

Wu Yang... why you do this to me!?
  6. Current best OX LP and inverted/SP forehand attacking players?

Depends on the pip friction you have. D.tecs in 1.6 sponge feels FAR different than curl p4 in 1.6 sponge for instance. Even in OX they feel very different. Block angles will need to be altered etc. No sense arguing over generalities of pips when they can be so different!
  7. Current best OX LP and inverted/SP forehand attacking players?

Carlos Arcila fits the description fairly well, though he uses Dr neubauer anti-spin rubbers. He does play like the OX LP crowd but with a heavy focus on his forehand https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJwHB41tKkQ&t=251s
  8. Possible to improve?

Yes, I think blocking and working on forehand/backhand transitions with a robot set to high speed and random ball placements is very nice! That particular style most likely lends itself the best cross-over when going from robot to human. Since humans can not be as fast, unless perhaps you were...
  9. Table Tennis and Powerlifting

For the natural lifters, many were fond of the light/medium/heavy days to aid in recovery and progression. For instance on monday you only work with 60% of your max at most for the light day. Then on a heavy day you go up to the 90% or close to it and the next session go for medium 70-80%. So...
  10. Table Tennis and Powerlifting

How is your lifting structured? Do you lift heavy % of max on each of the two days? Have you experiment with light/medium/heavy days or weeks?
  11. New Butterfly rubber "Dignics 05" 2019

I dont think it's all that difficult for them. You liked tenergy, the best and spinniest rubber ever made!? World renown and used by 90% of all pros... Well now for you even more advanced players, we are releasing brand new super ultra mega spinny rubbers that are even faster and provide...
  12. Tacky, hard, fast

How about joola golden tango ps
  13. Current best OX LP and inverted/SP forehand attacking players?

I think the problem with frictionless anti is it glues you to the table. Mainly talking about very high levels here. And if they play their forehand from a slightly farther back distance, the anti is pretty useless. You need to use it up close and blocking for it's full effectiveness. At lower...
  14. Current best OX LP and inverted/SP forehand attacking players?

Are there any new up and coming or perhaps already established players using OX LP on the backhand and playing an attacking game on the forehand? Not necessarily at a 'top end' level either. Anything over USATT 2000 up to pro level? I'm looking to find some that are more attacking oriented, and...
  15. Any tips on dealing with dead balls?

Yes you need to top spin the ball a bit if you want to attack it. Or brush loop it with a lot of spin. Anti power has minimal spin reversal so even a heavy top spin will be returned fairly dead unless they chop it. You need to find the right angle to loop the ball forcefully. I notice many...
  16. How to Deal With Too Many Choices for Equipment You Already Own?

Pick one you like using today, then hide the others away in an inconvenient place! EJ virus is like the 'bad influence' friend you like to hang out with because they're fun, but you know that lifestyle is only holding you back :p
  17. How is the best way to clean pips

I've had that butterfly brush thing for years. Works fine for what it does, or as my earlier suggestion - just get a toothbrush with stiffer bristles!
  18. How is the best way to clean pips

Wet down a toothbrush and scrub it like an infant's mouth!
  19. Starting youtube channel?

I think the pimples videos would be my favorite. It's a smaller audience in a sport with an already somewhat small playerbase! The plus is you would stand out from other table tennis videos, as they focus on the 'mainstream' elements -- downside is you would have less people searching/wanting to...
