  1. Damien Éloi: Are the top players’ rubbers different?

DHS seems to be doing that... "What are the differences in performance between national sets, provincial sets, and hurricane sets? What are the common specifications for national team members? What is the difference between star national sets and national sets? National hurricane sets...

  5. Suggestions for Genuine Budget Carbon Blades (ALC/ZLC Alternatives)?

You could try the 729 Blue AD or Yellow AD https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006173367838.html with a different design ;) 729 blade with 729 rubbers? 729 Dragon F "mid hard" might feel a bit harder than G1 (tried that a long time ago), "mid soft" should be softer...

  7. Difference between various friendship battle versions

In theory Battle 2 is also available with a green or blue topsheet at least these versions are authorized by the ITTF https://equipment.ittf.com/#/equipment_preview/racket_coverings/2157
  8. Difference between various friendship battle versions

    Trajectory: B3 higher than B2. As for different B2 versions: 729 currently lists these versions in their 2025 catalogue - Battle 2 National, 38, 39, 40, 41, 2.1mm - Battle 2 SP, 39, 40, MAX hardness, 2.15mm - Battle 2 Provincial (inorganic version), 39, 40, 41 hardness, 2.15mm - Battle 2 Gold...
  9. Are players in Europe (US as well) interested in lesser-known Chinese rubbers?

There are a couple of shops in Europe that sell some of these rubbers: 🇸🇪https://chtt.se/en/products/rubber/backside (very many of the listed rubbers) 🇩🇪https://ttdd.eu/belage/noppen-innen/friendship.html 🇩🇪https://www.spinfactory.de/tischtennis-belaege.html...
  10. Sanding wings

https://www.tabletennisdaily.com/forum/topics/which-blade-used-ma-lin.17003/ https://pingsunday.com/xu-xin-equipment/ Maybe it's in general more important for penhold players but I also sand the wings (and handle) quite a bit to make holding the blade as comfortable and as loose as possible.
  11. Can anyone talk me either into buying this or leave it alone

I still have a Cornilleau Hinotec Off- (hinoki, limba, ayous, limba, hinoki), also made in China and that plays noticeably different than say a Korbel or other blades that use limba instead of hinoki for the outer ply and have a similar thickness...
  12. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

Hope you get well soon! Did you see any change in trajectory/arc/throw angle and sponge hardness with this booster?
  13. DHS fans unite!

Some more or less interesting stuff about DHS rubbers and sponges can be found in their "Handbook of DHS T.T. Products (in Chinese language).pdf" https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1xss4XdArxyhyyifUyy3y2tzR3AC6zGlT Google Translate And of course some new products... RF09: something that...
  14. Tacky Rubbers tackiness goes away after a few sessions, even with cleaning.

Maybe DHS has something that restores tackiness... Found that in their 2025 catalogue / 2025 Details of DHS T.T. Products (in Chinese language).pdf https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1xss4XdArxyhyyifUyy3y2tzR3AC6zGlT
  15. Setup advice

If you want to try a tacky rubber on BH I would suggest Hurricane 8-80 37° (or H8-20 37°) instead of H3-50 or if you want to use something from Butterfly than Glayzer (grippy, easier to use than T19 or D05) or Glayzer 09C (slightly tacky, also more controlled and easier to play than D05 but...
  16. Zhang Jike says inner carbon blades degrade faster than outer carbon blades. Why is that?

We have measurements from TTGearLab ;) Most inner carbon blades (at least what I can get/borrow) are blades that hold the ball deep(er)/long/(er) compared to outer carbon blades and usually have a lower base speed (Ovtcharov Inner ALC being one of the exceptions to that rule) i.e. the ball...
  17. Top 5 OFF- (Offensive minus) blade?

OT: I've restarted after 27 years (+- if one counts injuries) and settling on H3 (in Europe/Germany) is not seen that often ;)
  18. Zhang Jike says inner carbon blades degrade faster than outer carbon blades. Why is that?

Isn't this - to a certain extent- just because of the different playing properties (mainly speed)? Many/most(?) 1) inner carbon blades are slower on low and medium impact shots than outer carbon blades i.e. to get the same speed we need to hit harder and to get the full effect from the carbon...
  19. Having some trouble with equipment

Rozena is slower but also bouncier (earlier "catapult" effect) than D05. Less controlled when receiving serves (Rozena is less grippy which might help sometimes but also softer which lets the ball sink in more...), in the short game or when setting up loops (e.g. long push). D05/D09C (depending...
