  1. Be honest guys: you don't need carbon blades

Not sure of anyone had pointed out on hinoki here yet. my first non pre-made was a carbon blade, yinhee 988 jpen. adapted quickly but realised after switching to my new(er) miyabi 1 ply hinoki i had to really get my stroke right and short game became much better. Also, with the recent few weeks...

  8. Comprehensive List of 3rd ball attack strategies

Yeah, but they usually try to short push it, so i can't forehand drive it over.
  9. Editorial: It's hard to know if an equipment change actually makes you better

Showed no 2 to my fellow TT player who can basically be harimoto the second in terms of throat capacity, he gave me trust that this afternoon no “Chole!”
  10. First Time Penholder: Help me out!

Double down on 1 and 2. I tried some of the ph blades of the old uncles, and with h3 on both sides, its way to heavy in my opinion to get a proper game. Plus, in my opinion, it is easier to rpb with tensor rubbers, more forgiving and i appreciate the catapult effect. Go softer and thinner...
  11. Comprehensive List of 3rd ball attack strategies

My best is reverse pendulum serve half long, when they push the ball, I forehand flick for 3rd ball attack. Another one is my underspin side spin serve almost down the line straight and they’ll have to push return forehand, thenI’ll rpb cross the table to the other edge sending them running...
  12. Your backhand sucks? It's ok brother, don't cry! We're in this together for the long run....

I have a backhand! My rpb isn’t the best but I’m gonna improve it. I will never have a better backhand than my forehand, even equal to, but gonna figure it out.
  13. Real or fake viscaria

Nice blade. That is practically one of the only blade models that students here in SG who go for competition like to use. That and the Stiga Clipper or Long 5 and sometimes we see yinhe t-11s with big dippers.
  14. Your backhand sucks? It's ok brother, don't cry! We're in this together for the long run....

I believe my main backhand issues is having initiative to attack, backhand drive, to step over to let the forehand finish the rest. I'm usually too scared with the risks of backhand drive, with the absurdly large follow through which I cant really help, even after following Ryu's tutorials. It's...
  15. Your backhand sucks? It's ok brother, don't cry! We're in this together for the long run....

Doesn't apply to me at all, being categorized severely underweight.

How do you know that the rubber was made before tack reduction? Is there a serial number? Different code? Colour? There is a minor chip on the bat edge, can be seen on the backhand rubber, and he said it was hit during a serve. But otherwise alright.
  17. Re: Forum title

ChatGPT-the facet of SG secondary school students, but with its removal it's thy archillies heel. They over-reliance of AI certainly does limit certain interpretation and ideology, with outstanding after effects from sudden removal of use. (New term: AI withdrawals!)
  18. Re: Forum title
