  1. My EJ journey hasn't gotten me anywhere until I returned home

A 7ply is generally stiffer and heavier. If You want a slower outer carbon I would recommend Donic Appelgren WC 89 or Nittaku S-CZ. Those two are very similar, built by Soulspin in Germany. Even though they are outer they are quite soft and great feeling to play with. The only thing is that the...
  2. Yasaka rising/shining dragon 2

Long lasting as well? Cheers L-zr
  3. My EJ journey hasn't gotten me anywhere until I returned home

If You are a top elite player then maybe yes... But for mortals it's a hunk of horse sh-t. I wouldn't recommend something as soft as a Donic Appelgren allplay (too flexy imo) but thats what my club recommends to starting kids in my club. But a 5ply all wood in the region of 6mm is an excellent...
  4. WTT Champions Frankfurt 2025 - 4-9 NOV 2025

You guys are incredible, so many conspiracy theories. The plain truth is that Truls was spent already and couldn’t muster up enough energy. Cheers L-zr
  5. Butterfly Zyre 03

An arm and a leg.... Cheers L-zr
  6. Returning player (AR+/OFF–) looking for versatile rubbers for Xiom Hugo HAL [no longer: Cybershape Wood]

The most important bit that you don’t go too fast… I would start with än allwood blade a little flexible. 5 layer around 6mm thick. If you desperately want a carbon blade, I really really like the Donic Appelgren WC89. It’s an excellent blade. With this I would go with something with low...
  7. WTT Champions Frankfurt 2025 - 4-9 NOV 2025

I know, some people here like to spread conspiracy theories... Cheers L-zr
  8. I'm not looking for a unicorn, just a hinoki donkey that will do the job.

  9. Should I buy Hurricane Long 5

The power is in you not in your equipment. The danger with too fast setup is that you will start to hesitate and that’s baaad for you… Switch your blade to a not too fast blade that you can use for a long run time… Of in doubt go allwood < 6mm thick… Cheers L-zr Cheers
  10. Where do you buy your equipment from?

TT11 and chtt.se… and butterfly Germany if I incidentally have an urge for butterfly stuff… Cheers L-zr
  11. Why is this forum so obsessed with the Japanese women's team?

A community full of dirty old males… What do you expect? 😱 Cheers L-zr
  12. Sanwei Echo and Parla review - 2023 new all wood table tennis blades

The frequency only tells you the blades stiffness (and hardness to a certain degree). More often than not a blade with higher frequency is faster but not always. Cheers L-zr
  13. Do I need to lacquer my blade?

Don’t know what DHS sealant is it contains. But I would never seal the handle regardless, it’s not necessary. I’m with upside down Karl on this, sweat makes it better and if it’s properly glued it will never detach… Cheers L-zr
  14. use outer carbon.... DO IT NOW !!!

I have always said that beginners should watch out not to get a too fast blade. But as I said it has to do with the entire construction. The fastest blade I own is a 9 layer all wood blade and I have plenty of carbon blade both inner and outer. The two outer blades I stated I would not hesitate...
  15. use outer carbon.... DO IT NOW !!!

I disagree with You. You can't say that "outer blades" are not for a certain category of players, you have to look at the whole constuction. Look a Donic Appelgren WC 89 and Nittaku S-CZ for instance. If a beginner is willing to play the price for these I say go ahead. I just one of my Appelgren...

  17. use outer carbon.... DO IT NOW !!!

You can’t compare 99.9% of the players on this forum with guys like this. So from my point of view … ha ha… Cheers L-zr
  18. Do I need to lacquer my blade?

Beware, linseed oil gets slipper too. If You still want to use it, do it sparingly. Cheers L-zr
  19. Samwei Nova Carbon, what is the correct spec ???

H3 39 prov orange for FH, undecided for BH. One of our most common injuries , tennis elbow… Played with my real racket today, and behold it didn’t few so bad… Cheers L-zr
  20. Samwei Nova Carbon, what is the correct spec ???

Will probably change to Nova Carbon earlier tha planned. After my injury I played with a light blade and light rubbers. After 2.sessions I feel pretty good. Not perfect but good. But my game.suffered big time… I will try to set up the Nova Carbon somewhere in between. It’s now 89g with...
