  1. I finally won match against my LP boss

TB, You should go to OCTTA and look for Joe Tran the legend. At around 70, he can still play near 2000 level, takes balls very early with his LP and can hit a lefty FH from ANYWHERE with quality and near 100% landing. A joy to play and a great kind person he is.
  2. ❓What Is Your Setup, and WHY?

Well, the Tibhar info page on Tibhar sez 47.5, so 47.5 it must be then. https://tibhar.info/Katalog_24_25/ePaper/TIBHAR_Catalogue_ePaper_2024_EN/index.html#14
  3. ❓What Is Your Setup, and WHY?

The regular Aurus white sponge is 50 hardness, which is medium hard... but overall, that rubber plays like a 47 medium firm rubber in feel. Aurus has a damn good topsheet and the sponge isn't shabby either.
  4. ❓What Is Your Setup, and WHY?

Hi Gozo, You will like it now for how it works... like it even MOAR as you see yourself landing more shots and doing that more easily... and like it down the road in the months to come as this rubber lasts almost FOREVER, you can get legit 500+ hours out of it. You will also like it as it is...
  5. HOT DAMN !!! This coach teaches FH Slow/Heavy loop exactly every key point Der_Echte values !!!

This coach breaks down the how and WHY to FH slow loop and emphasizes the very things I hold important about slow/heavy FH looping.
  6. ❓What Is Your Setup, and WHY?

Blade: Donic Pesson Power Play... solid handle, V1 and V2 PPP had moderate base speed/rebound... EASY to feel the ball. Hard strikes have enough power and still easy to land the ball. Easy to fell ball for spin - a four letter word that starts with an S. FH Rubber: Aurus (50 degree) makes it...
  7. returning no-spin serves?

Assuming a SHORT serve no spin... Short receive... get real early on the bounce... LIGHT light grip... bat angle very open... step to ball, do not use big arm motion... do a tiny side swipe, like a few cm with super light grip... Flip... step in, catch ball on top of bounce, have tip of bat...
  8. Tenergy 05fx vs C1 for BH

joesan... unfortunately, you will need to hit for yourself and see for yourself what type of rubber and what softness of sponge give you the best landing percentage with enough quality. S-1 may be a better choice for your BH than C-1. I did a LOT of empirical testing and found that on BH...
  9. racket acceleration

per ITTF specs... The blade is supposed to be continuous, so obvious extensions to the blade can be easily seen and contested by an opponent in a sanctioned tourney... if where you play is not nationally sanctioned, then who cares? Turn that blade into Frankenstein and luv it. An inexpensive...
  10. Feedback on my League games

Zezima, You might be over thinking equipment a little. Look at what should be your priority for what is needed to execute the shots you do the most and are more important... look for equipment that makes it easy to do those. This can be a very large number of possible equipment. Getting stuff...
  11. racket acceleration

It can be what you want... if you use wood glue, you will lose a good chunk of the weight and after all is said and done, it might not be as solid as expected... plus you are never gunna take that handle off ever again... it is now attached for life. With hide glue and a goodly amount of thin...
  12. Is a Butterfly Super ALC more controllable than an ALC blade?

Yes, ANY of the BTY Super blah blah blah blades have more control... over your ability to buy anything else after buying the blade.
  13. Re-Building the BEAST

They relying on Chat GPT and failing time and time again. :D
  14. Fantastic match! US Open

Canada's Eugene Wong was WR60s last year and is in the MLTT... you wanna disparage him too?
  15. Re-Building the BEAST

I sense the Goon Squad pursuing Carl is about to fall straight through the Brooklyn Bridge into the water (for the 38th time) at a certain coordinated drop zone and GMT time...
  16. racket acceleration

@Przemooo You will need to read lodro's posts with some more time and you will get a feel if he is commenting as nonsense or serious.
  17. racket acceleration

I have done the Beast Mod increasing the weight anywhere from 10 to 35 grams... Start with a goal of 10 grams or so... fill in open space with hide glue and toothpicks... that will make it all solid for only the minimum weight gain... but making it solid and adding 10 grams still provides a...
  18. racket acceleration

Mt original Beast Mod was directly inspired by Carl... he had a beloved Stiga Allround Evolution in the 80s grams he really liked... I thought of a way to stealthily made it WAY more offensive, but with still good control and feel. Here is the original thread... it generated a LOT of...
  19. racket acceleration

Sometimes @UpSideDownCarl or some other member digs out these posts (I did the blade challenge in 2020) and re-posts them for good member or LULZ.
  20. racket acceleration

Just search for Beast Mod... I might have made 4 threads with pics on this and some members have made their own posts on this, This pic you show is a slip on grip... that will work too, but I was talking about the kind you wrap over your handle. Every TT maker sells these. Just grip tape alone...
