Vega Pro isn't outdated, it's still a very good rubber that holds up to modern standards. I'd argue it's much better than x.

Tried them on Viscaria, azalea off, and avalox p700. I just don't feel like they suit any of them. I have a general preference on hard surface blades, only recently I started experimenting with softer woods like korbel and azalea, but they didn't go there very well.
