  1. Transfer robot practice

Some robots can set random-level for each ball. If your robot can't do that, then you can play different balls, like BH, FH. The transition should at least partially break the stereotype/rhytm. Cheers. Edit: Working with the couch maybe 2x better than playing with partner, and playing with...
  2. Sanwei target national new version

Today will be my 3rd practise with the STN and GearHyper. I was quite curious what will be the difference between the R9 and the STN. You know I like R9 a lot, but the STN, I can play with it. It does have a bit lower throw indeed, but not so much it would be disturbing. The sponges have similar...
  3. Sanwei target national new version

I've ordered the STN (new version), H40 and Sanwei GearHyper H37, from @harty. Summer Sanwei madness. Edit: Quick delivery today - the next day. I've measured the hardness, the STN H40 is cca 51 on my Type O durometer, which is more like H39 actually. But the old Rxton 9 H40,5 has almost the...
  4. What the H3LL did I get myself into this time....

I sometimes train with a guy, better than me, it's feels like he plays there instinctively... I want that ;-)
  5. What the H3LL did I get myself into this time....

Explore ;-) Edit: Edit: Sorry, I didn't want to sound cryptic. There is this "space", you could say in between ZJK and ML, and you can explore it. I'm not speaking about level, obviously. You can first see the differences, then you can understand them, and then you can experiment with it...
  6. What the H3LL did I get myself into this time....

You're before a tournament, you should enjoy it amap. Now is not really a time for improvement... But you are asking. So when you're back, there is one thing I'd cautiously suggest: Learn from your non-playing hand. What I mean, is when playing FH topspin, be aware of the movement of your...
  7. What the H3LL did I get myself into this time....

I think Tony was afraid it can get philosophical real quick, so he just kept it at the lowest common denominator ;-) So, common Gozo, you play for fun, and you know it. But what's the fun? What's the fun points for you??? Tell me... It almost looked like you're losing the sight of the fun...
  8. Is this bad form? Or am I overacting.

Two points: 1. It looks like (from the whole description) he just doesn't mean any harm. The intention matters. However, you really need to get into state, where this has no influence on you, regardless of the intention (which it's hard to be sure about). It is not hard to get there. Other...
  9. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

I'm making a full moon out of it right now...
  10. DHS H3 and all versions

NTH3PTB is for hulks. I want to see someone bottoming the NTH3PTB out, and then saying, hey, what's this toy, give me some real rubber finally. Quality is high, higher than H3 prov.
  11. Anders Lind discussing illegal serves

Yes, absolutely! That and the enforcing... That older people are against, due to the momentum, is OK. It would be surprising if they didn't.
  12. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

That's KO, I need red on the BH. Thanks anyway.
  13. is it a grip issue?

I also thought like that, like @Doum. But I was not sure you'd ask. When that happens there usually is visible wet-mark on the rubber.
  14. DHS H3N for beginner

If you were a child, well, you'd not ask here, but if ;-) then I'd tell you follow what your trainer suggests. But you're adult, so I say, if you like the setup, keep it. Sometimes people in europe are a bit skeptical against chinese rubbers. I've made a setup for my friend, who is/was...
  15. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

It's good to hear you like the R9. I like it a lot too. On the other hand, on you description I can see, how everything is relative. To say that ball shoots out like a rocket with small movement. That it strange. For me the R9 has the typical chinese dense sponge, which, in order to get speed...
  16. New racket after a break - T05 or Dignics?

The blade I think is a good choice. For the rubbers, something more controlled: Fastarc G1 (FH) / C1 (BH) Xiom Vega Pro (FH) / Euro (BH) Spoiling the game again - stay away from Tenergy/Dignics for the first year. And then for all the coming years up to eternity...
  17. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

In a way, I had a similar experience. I realized I can feel the differences between rubbers, and I think I even have certain understanding of why, and can somehow describe. But this is not like that with blades. There I only feel the differences, but can't describe well, and much less understand...
  18. Im losing faith in the sport

How the infrared light (about 810nm) helps with neuro-degenerative issues, like Alzheimers, Parkinsons. It's a bit off-topic, but perhaps it helps someone...
  19. DHS hurricane neo 2 or neo 3?

Loki Rxton 9 is pretty tacky (tackier than H3), still can lift the ball for couple of seconds after 4 months. But I'd not say it is signif. slower than H3, the sponge is similar to H3 BS. I think you'd like it anyway.
