  1. Reverse Pendelum Serve vs Hook Serve

true, but with practice, the hook serve, punching across the back of the ball, almost parallel to the end of the table doesn't impart as much forward motion into the ball, keeping any side top spin balls short or half long can be difficult regardless of the type of serve.
  2. which players have the best serves?

Ma Long has to be up there surely??
  3. which players have the best serves?

Yeah, but borderline foul (like many others) ?? Especially as he is a leftie and a righty receiving has trouble seeing contact point. It's the servers responsibility to ensure that the receiver can see the contact.
  4. which players have the best serves?

Depends on your point of view!! The 'best' serve can be seen as one that has a very predictable return. if you know how the ball will be received 8 times out of 10, then you are much better placed to plan 3rd ball attack Etc.
  5. Xiom Tau II

When I first bought Tau2 via a seller on Aliexpress is was around €25 to €30 a sheet. Last time I managed to find a seller in the Philippines who had both red and black sheets in stock and they were about €34ish. You can usually find Tau2 in very limited supply these days, most times only...
  6. TTE Court sizes

I’m not totally sure, but he way I read it, I would say yes. As it’s a ‘national championship’ could be different for juniors though.
  7. TTE Court sizes

I found this regarding court sizes on the TTE website.
  8. Proud dad...

I'm not sure if the TTE regs match that of ITTF 100%. Sure for a National Championship final, for any age group, you would think that the court size should be to ITTF standards for the highest level of competition. We have different grade tournaments, 1* , 2*, 3* Etc and the court size per table...
  9. Proud dad...

Right, I thought it was Violet I played. Even then she was showing a very good standard of play for her age. I got a win against her, but it could be a different story now!! Her improvement is very noticeable. Violet showed a lot of emotion that day, which showed her disappointment at not...
  10. Proud dad...

The only players that sometimes have a moan, are the ones that like to play a 'fishing' style away from the table!!!
  11. Tenergy 19

    very good!!!
  12. Proud dad...

That’s an excellent result, the spoils of hard work and dedication. Well done to Violet- Lily and yourself for supporting her. Hopefully this will be the start of a great career!! I think I may have played your daughter about 15 months or so ago, at Warren Springs club tournament?
  13. Beginner looking to build a solid racket

FH and BH technique(s) loads of similarities and differences !!!
  14. Beginner looking to build a solid racket

Primorac all wood is a great blade, the Japan made version is more expensive but better quality, if you can afford it, go for the Japan version, it'll serve you well for years and plays well with many different rubbers. As for rubber choice, Rozena is a good choice, for both FH & BH, Glazer and...
  15. What happened to Darker?

Nah, plastic blades all the way!! Biodegradable of course, 10 weeks after glueing your rubbers the blade will have reduced itself to nothing, you’ll open your bat case only to find 2 sheets of rubbers fused to each other!!
  16. What happened to Darker?

In the UK builders and construction companies, builders merchants etc buy from sustainable sources, so the guys cutting and selling trees as ‘lumber’ do the replanting.
  17. What forehand rubber should i use?

Hi Andres, Do you have any video footage of yourself playing? This will give us a much better insight to your standard and level of play. To give advice without knowing you or seeing how you play is, to a certain extent pointless. Everyone will be guessing or basing their reply on unknown...
  18. Double Fish samples has arrived - what is your opinions?

The only other product I tried was one of their rubbers - Qiji Pro osmose inverse, the sheets I received were, as far as bounciness was concerned as dead as a dodo!! they made unboosted 41 degree H3 seem like a jumping jack firecracker!! Qiji Pro was virtually unplayable, for me any way, full...
  19. Which Rubbers suit me?

Have a chat / PM with Mocker, he has really good info on hybrid rubbers, CTTS is his shop, (Chinese Table Tennis Sweden) Loki Arthur China (LAC) is a good alternative, takes a couple of hours play to liven up / break in. Xiom Tau 2 is also very good, he is probably the only person this side of...
  20. Double Fish samples has arrived - what is your opinions?

Yeah, the match balls are very good, I bought a dozen a couple of years ago for personal use when practicing. Over here (Britain) DF balls are not used very much, people see the logo and don’t recognise it, and then think the balls must be low quality!! It’s actually the reverse!!
