  1. Defensive blade with double inverted

I've got a teammate who is in a similar position as you are in. Played 25/30 years ago on one of the highest local levels, came back to train about half a year a go and now returned to competition. He plays a game centered around placement and heavy spin. Before his return to competition he...
  2. Rubber advice for child.

Setup is perfectly fine, unless he feels or you see he is lacking speed or spin. I suggest to keep the frame and upgrade to faster rubbers if thats the case. Rakza 7 is a fine choice, if you want to stay with Xiom the Vega series have several options. If he likes the Xiom Vega feel now...
  3. Rxton 5 Pro

I almost think you "overboosted" it to the point its too fast right now. I've been using the Rxton 3 Pro on 2 blades unboosted (judging by the smell they are fairly heavily factory bosted). They need proper braking in, especially on a fast blade, to make them feel their worth. The speed and...
  4. WTT Feeder Manchester Feb 2024

Shame to see Timo pull out, indeed takes the shine of the tournament as he could be seen as the outlier in the normal Feeder series competitors. I personally think Timo enrolled to play to have a backup to gain WTT points. Maybe with his win in Doha he gained more points than anticipated so he...
  5. What would TT brands do if ESN suddenly refused to make for them?

Biggest thing would be that they have to transform their business or add a company that will become the brand of their products. That would take away focus and money from developing their manufacturing business. Being solely a manufacturing company gives them the opportunity to focus on that...
  6. Is stuor 2017 Store on aliexpress is legit?

Bought 2 blades through that store, a Long V clone and a Viscaria clone. Decent blades, quality is good (about as good as what for example Yinhe and Sanwei sell for a similar price). As said, clones arent 1 to 1 copies, but they come quite close and mimic the designs pretty well.
  7. Two new Cybershapes from Stiga (Clipper & AC)

One of the better guys at my club is playing with Clipper Cybershape. T05 FX forehand, Rasanter R45 backhand. He loves the combination, so I guess if you like all wood but wanna go stiffer and faster, seems like a sure choice.
  8. Recommendations for Forhand rubber

If you like the Vega X hardness, Vega Korea seems like an obvious choice to try. Same hardness, step down in speed, step up in spin potential opposed to the Vega X.
  9. Best racket case?

Currently using the Andro Fraser duo wallet case. Mainly bought it because I also bought the Fraser bag. Does a decent job, but outer layer of protection isn't that sturdy. Got a spare Donic single wallet that is much sturdier. Maybe I will upgrade to something like an alu case if I can find one...
  10. Friendship Bloom Power 45 1.8

I just came across the Friendship Bloom Power 45 in 1.8 on a tabletennis stores website, while I had never seen the 1.8 thickness version. Has anyone tried Friendship Bloom Power 45 in 1.8 thickness? Seeing it and thinking about my experiences with the Bloom Power 45, I think the 1.8 might be...
  11. Glue usage reduction 😁

For new sheets of rubber, I just put glue on the full sheet. Marking the sheet, only glueing the marked area and then having to line it up is not worth the hassle for that extra drop of glue I might use just glueing the full sheet.
  12. Rxton 5 Pro

Does anyone know when the Rxton 7 rubber is coming out? Can't find any info om that, other than a picture of the packaging.
  13. My experience with Chinese rubbers

After playing with Moon 12 as the BH in my main blade for a week (~6 hours including a league game) I took it off again. The feeling it had on my T11s I could only reproduce on blocks on my Balsa Carbo X7, which left me powerless for other BH shots, it was too safe. So I stuck the Moon 12 back...
  14. The last tacky DHS rubber

I didn't know of the change to H3 Neo being made non-tacky so I was surprised when I found out glueing a sheet to my spare blade. Got a H8 still packaged laying around, eager to see if thats non-tacky as well now. Despite it being non tacky the H3 Neo plays decently from the few hits I gave it.
  15. Blade for attacking with LP

Thanks for the reply! I am thinking of going to a version with a spong at first, thinking 0.6~1.0 depending on what LP I am gonna give a go. Plan is to attack with them, playing passively or chopping is not my thing. Might indeed stick a sheet on my main blade and see where that takes me...
  16. BH rubber insensitive to humidity

In general, the tackier the rubber, the more sensitive to humidity it is. Your PK50 is a pretty tacky hybrid, so I can imagine your problems I would suggest looking at more regular tensor rubbers as they are usually less prone to reacting to humidity With 47,5 degree hard tensors you have a...
  17. Blade for attacking with LP

Thanks for the suggestion! Looking into it, wouldn't the Stiga Allround Classic be a better fit? I suspect that the Offensive Classic might in the same ballpark as my Balsa Carbo X7 on speed and hardness and from what I read going the LP route a blade thats more flexible and slower might be...
  18. Blade for attacking with LP

Hi everyone, Recently I have been contemplating trying out LP on my backhand, for an attacking block/hitting playing style. I am however worried that my current blades are too fast/attacking for an LP BH and I am looking for blade options better suited to an LP BH. My main blade currently is a...
  19. Rxton 5 Pro

Be sure to break the rubber in too, dwell time will increase a bit after some hours of use!
  20. WTT Feeder Manchester Feb 2024

Being out for roughly a year internationally makes you drop a lot of points as they expire and you don't gain any new points. However, his win in Doha will make him jump to around top 30 again I reckon.
