  1. TTDaily: Does the forum need Moderators who are Active on the Forum

Actually moderating doesn’t take much “time”. You just have to use 2 minutes when someone tags your name, look at the situation, and remove the thread or troublemaker. It’s even easier when there’s a team. I actually visit ttd a lot nowadays. I mostly ignore everything about equipment and...
  2. TTDaily: Does the forum need Moderators who are Active on the Forum

I do. We played in robert chen's LIC club for a while and were on the same team for JOOLA Teams. As for his online behavior, he's really just 'yanking your chain', or as the young people call it: 'ragebaiting' Just ignore him. Or on my tt discord server, i just have him banned. His IRL...

  5. What makes someone go from 1800 to 2000 usatt

are we going to see posts for 1700 -> 1900 and 1600 -> 1800 later? exactly the same as this older thread: serve, serve return, first attack, (and first defense if you are older, injured, young child, etc)...
  6. What makes more difference - rubbers or blades

and it's not even close. I don't think they've used a Walmart racket like this example. Or this $10 mini racket. I can literally rip off the rubber and put on a real rubber and it becomes playable. And I can take the Walmart racket rubber to put on Viscaria and it becomes hardbat.
  7. What is the most important area to jump from 1900 to 2100?

correct. you are doing it correctly.
  8. What is the most important area to jump from 1900 to 2100?

Agree with NextLevel. If your techniques are Ma Long level, but you blunder like a 1300, you are 1300. Keeping the ball on the table is more important. Some related chess analogies.
  9. Do you practice pushing?

For long pushes, you don't see people practice it much because it's easy to do (in comparison with to other techniques). It's also intuitive and it's one of the things even an untrained club player figures out with no coaching. You'll maybe see someone learning to push for the first time...
  10. I want opinions on my chances of pro

might be late to become the next Ma Long, but anything else is still possible. make sure your saturday partner also improves. youre going to get stuck if your Saturday partner gets stuck too. but if you both learn and teach each other, almost anything can happen. EDIT: the group training...
  11. Felix Lebrun lost 14 direct points on serve when faced Wang Chuqin

low toss / no toss serve is not really a discussion. It’s easy for the camera to measure and enforce. No need to talk about that anymore. Hidden serves are the topic. Are there cameras on all 4 corners of the table 1 court? ITTF should make a rule that the opponent’s 2 corner cameras need to...
  12. Felix Lebrun lost 14 direct points on serve when faced Wang Chuqin

Create a new rule that is easy for the umpire to call out: like, during the serve, your chest/shoulders cannot be more than 90 degrees rotated from just facing the table Regardless of the actual legality of those serves, the ITTF Rulebook says that the ref is able to fault any serve that even...
  13. Lin Yun-Ju serve

compared to his long serves, i would still consider those first bounces close to half-table. the camera angle at 1:14 is pretty bad, but you can see his other short serves in the rest of the video (and long serves). for serving short, there's a lot of leeway for the first bounce. there's even...
  14. Lin Yun-Ju serve

This isn’t even true. Don’t believe the words people say. Just use your eyes and see for yourself. Link to see 15 seconds in against Timo Boll
  15. What is the most important area to jump from 1900 to 2100?

In a game, even pros can miss the third or fourth loop. Just make sure they can’t block the first or second one. You can loop really fast right away. Or you can do a super spinny loop first, and do a fast loop later. I encourage down-the-line loops. They usually win the point in 1 loop.
  16. What is the most important area to jump from 1900 to 2100?

Why are you doing 3 or 4 loops in a row?

  18. How to learn PERFECT Forehand Loop

Problem 1: You served long and then stayed close. If you serve long, you should expect a long return back. Solution: If you serve long, step back. Problem 2: You served long and then reached in to push. If you expected to push and then suddenly switched to a loop, of course the loop won't be...
