  1. Andro Nuzn 50 and 55

Will do - I love data and in particular as it pertains to sport so hope this is insightful.
  2. Andro Nuzn 50 and 55

I just ordered a kit from them - perhaps we can try it at Waterside one evening?

  4. Tenergy 19 vs Dignics 05

I never had any issue with it
  5. Backhand tospin against backspin

Modern BH loop vs backspin technique drops the bat much less and moves more forward. Emphasis is on ball contact point (lower than vs topspin) and ensuring acceleration of the wrist to bring the ball down. It also requires an earlier contact point at top of bounce. It’s a far more offensive...
  6. Backhand flick

Very interesting, most tutorials advocate closed blade parallel to table but this makes sense in terms of ball strike. I often struggle to get enough side action - this makes that easier.
  7. FS: Harimoto Super ALC / Freitas ALC / Innerforce Layer ALC / Other Blades / New Dignics & Zyre

Come on, do you really have to ask that - if you take the time to read back through the thread you will see multiple references to his quality as a seller. Which to save you the bother is that he is fast, efficient, reliable, prices well and on top of all that is a pleasure to deal with.
  8. New racket after a break - T05 or Dignics?

I think it very much depends on level and blade choice - for somebody with decent basics and an ability to spin the ball, then on a slower inner blade T05 can be a great choice. On a faster outer carbon or for somebody lacking the basics it may not be so clever..
  9. New racket after a break - T05 or Dignics?

I also support the T05 vs D05 comments - D05 may be the better rubber, but not for most players. If you are not very solid and hit pretty hard then D05 is harder to access the performance. T05 is still fantastic... I also support the inner fibre carbon option - innerforce ALC or ZLC is great...
  10. Post your latest EJ purchase

What weight do you normally play with? I have a really nice Avalon BT777 that weighs in at 100g and 195g with my rubber choice - also beautifully balanced but still feels a tad heavy.
  11. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

I think that makes sense regards blade choice - I tend to lean towards softer feel and better hold (for want of a better word) and so whilst I love the crispness of outer blades like my Viscaria, I play better with softer and more forgiving blades like the Franziska. Rubbers is harder for me to...
  12. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Interesting point re the rubbers and blades - thanks. Regards the non TT stuff, our record would seem to indicate that we can't avoid things becoming personal. I have seen more and more threads lately deteriorate into a war of words that becomes personal and unpleasant. I think the variety of...
  13. Other candidates for GOAT

I agree - so many variables. ML - stats wise, pretty much undisputed. Like you I am massive Fed fan, and before that Mac (for different reasons) so I am drawn to players who change the landscape a little like Samsonov, ZJK. They have moved the needle in various ways and achieved great things too.
  14. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Nice - BH counter to counter, that's another level.. I had an interesting EJ experience recently - I have been really liking my Franziska with T05/T64FX and finding a real nice balance of control and feel with speed. Then, as often happens, I found myself picking up an older but unused Avalox...
  15. Forgetting form during games

    Great advice 👍
  16. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

It’s such a shame seeing this type of fighting on our forum. TT has helped me meet and get to know some amazing people I’d never meet and engage with otherwise (many on here) We live in a troubled world of polarised opinions and an easy method of expressing them online - mostly ending in...
  17. Forgetting form during games

That’s a problem for me too - it’s slowly improving as I focus more on it while practicing
  18. Rakza 7 Soft Alternatives

Aurus is about 47/48 deg and Aurus soft is around 45 deg as I understand it - they both play at about that hardness. So Aurus probably equates to R7 and Aurus soft is harder than R7 soft (which to me feels very soft)
  19. Lessons I Learned in Shanghai about Boosting and Equipment in General

Thanks - I don't play Chinese rubber but do boost occasionally and really enjoyed reading this. The pics look great - a different world that I would love to experience some day.
