  1. Looking for high arc rubber

wow, that's quite a journey. I've heard good things about the Aurus. Was it the standard Aurus or the Aurus Prime?
  2. Yasaka Rakza Series.

but you can also have high speed high spin rubber too right? Like T05 everyone says it shoots cannon balls and the throw is very high. I have never tried one myself tho, but seems to contradict that rule. I just played with my old rakza 7 on both sides on a YSE before I gifted it to my sister...
  3. Yasaka Rakza Series.

I played Rakza 7 for a while when I was learning, considered upgrading to rakza X but must people reports it has a much lower throw than rakza 7, which seems to contradict rakza's own material. Eventually I upgraded to G1, which feels a lot harder than R7 but it softens up after a while but has...
  4. New Andro NUZN 48 and 45

Can anyone comment of the throw angle of the nuzn 48?
  5. Importance of gluing well

I never glued my own rubbers until recently. My previous two setups were assembled by the provider (which is well known in the community). I decided to glue my new Christmas gift setup myself. The first thing my coach asked me, "did you glue yourself", and I asked him, "is it that obvious" and...
  6. Modern high arc/throw tensor or hybrid rubbers

Now that you mention it, the MK Hybrid is the only hybrid I've read that is comparable with that golden old generation, like the G1, in the sense that it's spin-oriented with low catapult effect, with a relatively high arc. I've heard the NUZN 48 is very similar, and should last longer. Perhaps...
  7. Modern high arc/throw tensor or hybrid rubbers

Interesting, I won't glue the G1 back just yet, I want to play as is in a couple of league matches first. Maybe I'll grow into liking the lower throw as you said. But I do 100% feel way more consistent with a higher arc. Granted, less dangerous too, but I value the former more now, as my...
  8. Modern high arc/throw tensor or hybrid rubbers

G-1 in Max and C-1 in 2.0. If I go back it would be just the G-1 on FH. I have no issues with the Omega 8 Euro on BH at all. It's the omega 8 pro on FH that the throw angle is putting me off
  9. Looking for high arc rubber

Gozo, how's your preference developed since then? You were playing G1 back then, which is one of the highest throwing angle ESN rubbers out there. I see you still prefer high arcs since now you are playing with D05 and Z03, which are high-throw rubbers. What other rubbers did you play beetween...
  10. Innerforce Layer ALC

Reply to review by 'navuzor' on item 'Innerforce Layer ALC'

Nice review Tyce, doyou feel the throw angle of the G1 changed coming from the all-wood to the inner carbon?
  11. Modern high arc/throw tensor or hybrid rubbers

Thanks KK, that's exactly my plan. I have no plans to go hybrid any time soon, and pretty sure I won't change my blade in a long time either. Regarding the low throw, I'm not convinced yet. In my short experience with this setup, a clubmate who plays in a higher division had a lot of issues...
  12. Modern high arc/throw tensor or hybrid rubbers

I reckon the only advantage would be slow, spinny loops. It's hard to engage the G1 sponge with slow loops.
  13. Modern high arc/throw tensor or hybrid rubbers

I'll give the O8 more of a chance and see if I like its characteristics. Otherwise, I'll glue back the G1 and try to understand a bit more how the innerforce ALC interacts with the G1. If indeed the blades lowers the throw of the G1 too much, then I'll make a decision. I honestly prefer a high...
  14. Modern high arc/throw tensor or hybrid rubbers

Yes, I know, interesting we don't see high throw eur/jap rubbers anymore. I'd rather glue my G1 back instead of going hybrid for the time being.
  15. Modern high arc/throw tensor or hybrid rubbers

Yeah, I've been doing some research since getting this setup, and all newer jap/eur rubbers tend to have a mid to low throw angle than the golden old generation, unless you go hybrid, it's where you find "modern" high throw rubbers (e.g., Rakza Z, D09c,...)
  16. Modern high arc/throw tensor or hybrid rubbers

I like the spin and speed, it's just the throw angle. I'll give it more time to adapt and then decide. Chances are, I'll glue my old G1 on this blade and go from there.
  17. Modern high arc/throw tensor or hybrid rubbers

I agree is most likely the combined effect of both the blade and the rubber. Hence the reason it's not recommended to change everything at once. I just wasn't expecting that much of a difference to be honest. An innerforce layer alc is supposed to be very wood-like and much closer to a fast...
  18. Review of XIOM Omega 8 Pro (+ Comparison with Omega 7 Pro)

This is a great review. Interesting, you describe the OP8 with medium throw and say the OP7 has lower throw than OP8. I recently switched to the OP8 from the G1 and this is exactly what I observed. Granted, I also changed my blade. How would you say the OP8/7 compares to the fastarc G1?
  19. Modern high arc/throw tensor or hybrid rubbers

Yeah I know, that's why I'm tempted to just glue my G1 back. Even then, the innerforce should be very wood-like so I'm not convinced the blade is the issue. The omega pro has been reported to have medium to even low throw, which is the only issue have with it. I'm very happy with the spin and...
  20. Modern high arc/throw tensor or hybrid rubbers

Hello all, I am looking for modern high arc/throw tensor or hybrid rubber options A bit of background. I played with fastarc C1 on BH and G1 on FH for over a year on a Tibhar Stratus Powerwood. I was very happy with it, to be honest. The only aspect I was missing was the slow spinny shots, as...
