  1. Waldner uses Bluestar A1

He is sponsored by Donic, is it that surprising that he uses their top tier rubbers? It would actually be interesting if he uses Nittaku Hurricane 3 on both sides...

maybe the moon 12 is factory boosted, so that could affect the hardness depending on that? Also the blade could affect how rubber feels; i find rubbers feel harder on soft blades. I had 38d J3 before and I don't think my Moon 12 M+ is harder than that.

Sword Star Diamond Forest, cpen, bare weight is 87g. I tried holding the bat deeper and it felt better. Rubber weight could fluctuate a lot, I had a 39d Big Dipper that was 61g. plays fine though.

46/47 ish, doesn't feel hard or soft for me.

I finally get to try out LAC. I went to my club and hit for 2 hours. Put it on FH with Moon blue on BH. LAC is both tackler and bouncier than Rxton 5 and other Rxtons. It could pick up a ball to ~10 cm before dropping, ball bounces 5-6 times before stopping if dropped from 20 cm. Its topsheet...
  6. Loki Arthur China for $9

Just finished gluing. 1. LAC curls a lot, causing slight difficulty for gluing. 2. The sponge is certainly brittle. 3. I don't find the gluing between topsheet and the sponge too weak. The sponge itself is weaker.
  7. Loki Arthur China for $9

I think the old version where they didn't have a label with hardness and a different stamp on the sponge was 41d, the one I have would be the new version that is 40d, and 1H3T tech (whereas in your previously posted spec sheet, LAC had 1H2T). I suspect the bubbling issue could have something to...
  8. Loki Arthur China for $9

I haven't glued it yet, will test with the remains afterwards.
  9. Loki Arthur China for $9

It felt thick despite the sponge is 2.1 mm, if that's what you mean. The sponge doesn't feel harder than other ~39d Chinese rubbers.
  10. Loki Arthur China for $9

It is labeled on the package of mine.
  11. Loki Arthur China for $9

Good luck to me! This one was bought in China around June. According to the sponge this is 40d. My finger can't tell if this is as hard or just slightly softer than Rxton 5, nominally 41d. The topsheet is certainly under significant tension, which could be why it bubbles easily.
  12. Loki Arthur China for $9

My experience with BD has been pleasant, although I still very slightly prefer Rxton 5 over BD on FH.
  13. Loki Arthur China for $9

No, I am just about to put my first LAC on my blade. Wouldn't want to get another one before I know I like it. It is also quite suspicious that LAC is cheaper than Rxton 5 (>£8) ...it's like finding a Tenergy cheaper than Rozena or a Omega 7 cheaper than Vega.
  14. Loki Arthur China for $9

I saw £7.5 this morning, now it is back to £13 from HW Sport.
  15. Schlager video describing Glayzer, Glayzer 09C and Rozena

Touch shots (short spinny serves, short push etc.) involve mostly rubber and little of the blade (unless you have a very fast blade). Most rallying shots involve both the rubber and the blade (block, drive, loop etc.) I can hardly think of a shot that is mostly dominated by the blade but isn't...
  16. Blade sugestion

I think jumping from Max carbon to OC or Hurricane Hao would be a big jump, so unless you are very certain about getting a 5 ply wooden blade, I'd suggest trying 301 first. Generally ALC would feel less stiff than carbon fibre.
  17. Moon 12 Blue on sale!

moon blue is about 90-100 yuan, so <=15 usd.

Only power and spin is registered. And I accidentally bought a sheet of Bloom spin that was the non-ITTF approved version. If you care about this issue, just stay away from Bloom.

Glad that it works for you! It is working fine for me, just that I am itching to try LAC soon 😂
  20. Moon 12 Blue on sale!

J3's sponge is quite traditional Chinese orange sponge, are you sure that are similar? just from looking through the package, my Moon blue sponge looks like a cream color small pore sponge looks like Rxton 3 pink/blue. Could you take a photo of both sponges side by side?
