  1. What makes more difference - rubbers or blades

For anyone looking for a good blade that you can use all the way through to professional levels that is not overpriced....Ma Lin Offensive blade. Great blade for adults and even good for kids as it has a relatively narrow handle and a good size sweet spot on it.
  2. What makes more difference - rubbers or blades

100% the blade. The feel of the blade is the most important part of the game and particularly for people still developing. That feeling you get through the blade is essentially.. An example of this, my doubles partner at the moment is a Olympic medalist, he had to play with a different blade...
  3. Looking for a Hybrid Chinese rubber (+booster) to alternative Tibhar K3

Battle 3. I come from the H3 neo and O9C....I tried the Battle 3 in someone else setup...it was good, heaps of spin.
  4. Looking for rubber softer, more controllable than Dignics 05

Have you tried the Fastarc range like the G1?
  5. Looking for rubber softer, more controllable than Dignics 05

The Glazyer has the same topsheet, but a softer sponge. They say the want a softer topsheet or maybe they just mean rubber?
  6. Looking for a fast backhand rubber with good spin

Battle 3 is a good rubber. I have used it on someone else blade when I come from a HN3 and O9C background. Seemed a lot easier to me.
  7. Looking for a fast backhand rubber with good spin

Fastarc G1 and you will be sorted. Performance of this rubber is ridiculous for the price.... Pro players use it. It is a user friendly version of the T05 with better all-rounder game.
  8. dignics 09c vs dignics 05

If you are worried about the 05 catapult effect, try the Fastarc G1. It is basically a friendly version of the T05. Less catapult, way better control and less sensitive to incoming spin. Slightly slower then the T05 but not by much.
  9. dignics 09c vs dignics 05

You raise an important point about the 09C which when making a decision on it you need to be aware about. It has a soft top sheet but a hard sponge. So you need high blade speed when playing your shots to activate the sponge. If you don't have this then it is a difficult rubber to use as the...
  10. dignics 09c vs dignics 05

The 09C is a closer match to the non Neo H3 then the D05 but I think the D05 is a bit less physically demanding. The D05 is bouncy which can be frustrating coming from a hurricane 3 of any type. In saying that, IMO it is far easier to go from the a sticky rubber to a catapult style rubber then...
  11. dignics 09c vs dignics 05

If you can use the H3 correctly then go the 09C. I went from the Neo H3 blue sponge to the 09C and liked it. Basically just faster but still needs the H3 swing action. Pushing is different but you will adapt as the 09C is only lightly tacky but lots of grip.
  12. Antipower

I absolutely hate playing against this rubber on an opponents backhand. Particularly if they are tall as you can't get away from the damn thing. I like to put lots on the ball and this thing just sucks the life out of your game. Matches with an attacking forehand and it is a nightmare to play...

  14. Cloud & Fog 3

Review by 'MORTtheORT' on item 'Cloud & Fog 3'

I found pushing with this rubber unpredictable. I had sponge on it and it properly would have been a lot better for pushing without it. But the ball just suddenly popped up and long. Something was not right for me as it would push fine then suddenly a random ball goes long. Chops really well.and...
  15. Ma Lin Carbon

Review by 'MORTtheORT' on item 'Ma Lin Carbon'

Bought this blade with Rakza 7s for my son....and I love it. Matches up really well and can really attack with confidence standing at the table. Good mid distance as well, might struggle in a real hit off against modern blades but I think it is good enough. A great blade that you can use from...
  16. Rakza 7 Soft

Review by 'MORTtheORT' on item 'Rakza 7 Soft'

Good rubber for beginners. This doesn't mean you can't win games against good players, just this rubber is IMO clearly designed for learning. I tried it on the BH and it was great for control and you can get a fair bit of spin on it, but man it is hard to hit a winner with it against a good...
  17. Hurricane 3 NEO National (Blue Sponge)

Review by 'MORTtheORT' on item 'Hurricane 3 NEO National (Blue Sponge)'

Great rubber. Need a full swinging action to get the most out of it otherwise it will feel slow. Spin is crazy and very good at slow looping spin. You can do an absolute dead ball block which can be advantageous but generally will need an active block if you want to apply pressure via blocking...

Long story short, this is the Dignics 09C with a softer and far more user friendly sponge. The bigger brother version needs a hell of a lot of racket speed to activate the sponge, this version way easier to use. Does not have the absolute peak performance of the Dignics 09C but let's face it...
