  1. Can a European Forehand have advantages over a Chinese style forehand?

I personally dont call the technique either European or Chinese. The principles are the same for both. I think that what everyone calls the 'euro' technique is just the basic technique everyone should start with to learn the forehand topspin. Once you get more advanced you start adjusting the...
  2. I know it doesnt seem to fit the trend of this chat, but can we take a moment to appreciate Joo Sae Hyuk?

I wish we'd see more defenders like JSH nowadays. Lots of people hate disrupting rubbers like long pimples and antispin. I think they are great for the diversity of the game.
  3. Looking for a Fh Rubber

This is so contradicting. You want a softer rubber than 09C, but you dont feel the difference between 09C and R48. Do you know how much softer R48 already is?? If you dont feel the difference in these, then R45 isnt going to give you what you are looking for. I dont think you play nessecarly...
  4. Fastarc G1 slipping on slow balls?

I wouldnt get to much in your head about it. The topsheet of G-1 is rather hard, so it takes a bit more effort to get a proper grip on slower balls. But if you are talking about the ball slipping off the rubber and it just falls straight down. That is just human error. Any rubber will slip if...
  5. Looking for a Fh Rubber

I know what you mean man . This is exactly what happened to my backhand when I upgraded my blade to Innerforce ZLC. My 'just okay' backhand changed into a deadly weapon. But serve recieve was tough. And guess what? Every rally starts with a serve. Now I went for kind of a double downgrade with...
  6. Looking for a Fh Rubber

I mean I dont know what you want us to tell you. All these rubbers you mentioned are good and have been good for over a decade now. Maybe with the exception of Glayzer 09C. You used to play with G-1 on FH and R7 on BH, right? I think you should go back to that, and stick with them for... well...
  7. Technique correction - Trying to Fix my FH backstroke + hitting through the sponge

I dont like making things more complicated then it has to be. Too many people focus on perfecting the small details, while the biggest gains are made elsewhere. So sir, Im sorry I wasnt specific enough for you. Luckily this isnt your post, so it doesnt matter. If the OP has some questions I...
  8. Technique correction - Trying to Fix my FH backstroke + hitting through the sponge

Okay I have only watched a bit of the first and 2nd, so I might have missed some specific things. But here are my takeaways: 1. Your technique is good enough. you know how to hit a forehand with good speed and spin. So I wouldnt spend too much time trying to perfect it. There is not much to...
  9. Why doesn't Nittaku fastarc G-1 spin as much as my soft tensor rubber can?

This is quite a funny topic because for me its the exact opposite experience. I have been playing with G-1 on both sides for a few years now. And I like the rubber alot, its very spinny. Maybe not Dignics levels of spin, but enough spin to make my opponents block the balls off the able. On my...
  10. New Genextion V2C (Hybrid) from Nittaku

No, I did not. I watched the TT11 review video, and their impressions convinced me its not worth it.
  11. Can Dan & Tom get Helix Platinum to review?

Haha oh no, I was already affraid to put numbers there because I knew that if I put the wrong ammount it wouldnt take long for Tony to come after me and tell me how wrong I am :ROFLMAO: Would you mind eleborating on what is actually true? Because Im curious :)
  12. Can Dan & Tom get Helix Platinum to review?

You are probably right, but what most people forget is that research and development to create these products costs millions. After you got the finished product, you need to set up the production process to enable mass production at such low production costs. Then they sell these rubbers to...
  13. FH Pivot Technique

Pivoting on 3rd ball is something thats not too difficult assuming your forehand is already very good, hence you want to use it more. But there is a few important nuances you should understand before mindlesly trying to pivot on every 3rd ball. 1. Its mostly about prediction. Its unrealistic to...
  14. Are Stiga blades more sensitive to splitting?

It really depends on how much love a specific blade gets from Stiga. I have had the following blades: Allround NCT: Finish was alright, the coated layer wasnt suitable with all glues Intensity NCT: Same as Allround NCT. Infinity VPS: Poor finish, rough handle, sharp edges. I did get one when it...
  15. New Genextion V2C (Hybrid) from Nittaku

Unfortunately not. Nittaku made a mistake with my order and sent me the regular Genextion... So I send it back and I am currently waiting on a refund. Since their costumer support is rather slow and unwilling to accept and resolve their mistake I will order the V2C once it is available on Dandoy.
  16. Self-Resetting Flip Pad for Table Tennis Training – Thoughts?

You could make something like this then; A rack with multiple targets on different heights. It might not have to do much with improving in table tennis, but its addictive. This is my favourite arcade game. Whenever we go to the gaming hall, we try to beat the high for hours on end haha.
  17. Self-Resetting Flip Pad for Table Tennis Training – Thoughts?

Im sorry but I think there isnt really a market for this. 1. I think the target is way too high above the table surface. In table tennis you have to hit the table. The target looks like its 15-20 cm above the table surface. You can even see the player miss the table completely, because he is...
  18. New Genextion V2C (Hybrid) from Nittaku

I ordered 1 from Nittaku Germany. I expect it to be a similair concept to the Andro NUZN rubbers, which is slightly tacky, but not sticky. Coming from G-1 I think I wouldnt mind it behaving more like a tensor. once I have my hands on it I could make a comparison to G-1 if anyone is interested.
  19. How good is prime WCQ vs prime ZJK, ML?

I dissagree. One important difference between WCQ and XX is that XX did not lose to foreigners nearly as much. When he lost, it was mainly against his team-mates who were all able to exploit his weaker penhold BH, but against foreign players he had the highest win/loss ratio of the team at some...
  20. What is the most important area to jump from 1900 to 2100?

It depends on your opponent whether you should loop it or not. Some opponents that are strong in the open rally will pressure you harder if you loop the serve. So a push might be the better option against these opponents. Some opponents have a very strong 3rd ball after a push, so if you manage...
