The fh is not the problem, it is actually decent on the blade I am using. The problem is getting the balance off stiffness for the pips. My bh is way better on stiff 7 ply wood, since the change in balls I am not getting the same spin or arc with my fh unless I use the Ma Lin Carbon. There...

I am currently playing with a Ma Lin Carbon. 1.9 Tenergy on forehand and Spinlord Keiler. I was using various 7 ply woods for the pimples, but I hate my fh and what it does to my top spin. Ma Lin is decent, fh and serving is better, but its a bit thin and flimsy and erratic on bh with mid pips...

Its just a bit erratic compares to the 7 ply woods. It is not as stable when blocking and hitting. But my fh is so much superior and my serves incidentally. I am going to have to learn how to make the pimples work on MLC I think as you have suggested before Lula I am going to have to be more...

Hate to admit it BRS. But had to go back to Ma Lin Carbon. Fh was awful in a big hall with ABS balls. Know I have to work out how to use those damn pimples on bh on carbon blade!!

Maybe its time to ditch 05fx and get some FX-S or some other stuff on fh. I used to like Joola Green Power 325 and that was spinny but I think it was just the old celluloid balls.

I think in all honesty the way forward is a 7 ply wood, which enhances my strength bh and pips and work on the fh. I mean 5 years ago I could not even topspin at all on fh. I can at least now topspin a bit. I can also still work on the bh pips too.
