  1. Which blade for my rubber.

The Offensive S is definitely a step upwards in terms of speed/power from the Allplay. Whether or not that suits you, at your level and in the phase of development you're in, I don't know. It seems to me that TTR is an ELO-based rating similar to what we use, and if that's so I'd say the...
  2. Which blade for my rubber.

Of these blades, keeping the safety first requirement in mind my first pick would be the Allplay. I'd actually go for the Appelgren Allplay, but details details. My runner up would be the Offensive S. The TB ALC and Cybershape are probably excellent for many things, but are definitely not...
  3. Major Rankings Changes, ITTF supports Ukraine, Legend retires, Adam Poses and More!

Great content. Looking forward to more of this! The sound level (in relation to the level of the narrative voice) between :04 and :15 is a bit high, making me run for the mute button. About -20dB would do the trick there.
  4. Hurricane 9 official news

If DHS markets this as a strictly BH only rubber they are not likely to. A red one though…
  5. Tenergy 05 no spin?

Yes, T05 can generate a lot of spin. And that spin is generated a bit more easily than with most other rubbers, including R48 (in my experience). The TB ALC and T05, furthermore, definitely match very well. What happens if you lock a ball between thumb and index finger, and than gently move...
  6. What are the best orange balls?

While orange abhors me, I must admit that the Joola threestar balls that came with the Infinity robot are much better than I had expected.
  7. Question about sealing

    Zeal and patience, my friend.
  8. Question about sealing

Probably, yes. The good news is that you can sand it down, leaving a very smooth but still saturated surface that won’t be prone to splintering.
  9. WTT Singapore Smash 2022

One step back will always be slower than off the bounce. Mass is a hindrance for agility. Maturing players need to find a new balance when fleshing out - and probably adapt their play style in doing so.
  10. Tactics against Anti and LP players

Don’t assume any predictable rhythm. Vary your serves in placement, pace; don’t shun the depth of the table. Play flat, mostly, kill it when you can and keep the ball on the table, varying placement and pace (again). Some lobbing may even work.
  11. Stop dreaming and start playing - rubbers for improvement ?

I absolutely love G1, but middle of the road… sounds like Nikki Lauda’s perspective on Magnum PI’s Ferrari to me.
  12. Replacement for MX-P on backhand

I actually believe play level will rise after replacing a worn out rubber. The same, another, whatever. A fresh sheet every niw and then helps. No real rise, though. Before that playlevel deteriorates because of incidental (but increasing) ball slippage, erratic serve quality, generally more...
  13. WTT Singapore Smash 2022

I want the camera angle complaints back!
  14. Quadri Aruna and Bernie Szcocs

Isn't Bernadette Szocs a Tibhar-sponsored player? Looks like she uses Tibhar Quantum X Pro (in pink and black) to me. At some point I think she used the Samsonov Force Pro blade, not sure what she's using now.
  15. WTT Singapore Smash 2022

Laat I read about ZYL was her struggling with disease; I’ve seen no news since.
  16. Gewo Neoflexx eft 45 vs Xiom Vega Europe

I like Gewo and I cannot lie. Then again, I like the Xiom rubbers mentioned too. The safety offered by the Neoflexx series is exactly their strength. The Nanoflex series, at least the FT48, is still there and hoo boy. Lord of the Dance, a (relatively) unsung gem. There are steps above, just...
  17. Looking for a small handle blade

Rasp and File met Hollow Handle, one fine day. Hilarity ensued.
  18. Dignics 05 vs Tenergy 05

    About €35.
  19. Manufacturer speed ratings vs Revspin ratings

And even then, only with a range of impacts - from very low to very high. :-)
  20. new Blade because of wrist problems

Hi LittleSeki, if I recall correctly there have been suggestions to try to adapt your technique to alleviate stressing your wrist. That's what I tried, and it works for me. I also train people with wrist and hand injuries (tendons, mostly); some of them wear hand or wrist braces when playing...
