The Volant Phoenix is a lovely rubber actually. I like it a lot. I really don't think it's worse than a boosted prov H3N BS. Maybe a bit less spinny but faster so it's a fair trade-off. But it arcs more too so I am not even sure if it's less spinny. Probably 40 deg would be more ideal than 39...

Sure, T05 is great. So is T19 for BH. T19 is a bit softer so might be easier to use. Just you need to accept that these are bouncy and sensitive rubbers. You might win more points in rallies and lose more over the table. I think Vega Japan is nice, so are G-1, C-1. Fastarcs super durable too.

Well yes, but not many can do a pull ball and a push ball well at the same time. Most Chinese rubbers suck at pull ball, at least for me. I saw a few Palios, maybe not DF, but that doesn't mean it's not good. I'm pretty sure Palio is just DF subcontract.
