  1. What to focus on, to generate lots of spin in pendeulum serve

Think of the contact as slicing the skin from an apple. That is the contact brush we are talking about. Also, it is the suddenness/quickness of your wrist which imparts the spin.
  2. San Francisco looking for training partner.

Hi, I have PMed you. Please check your inbox.
  3. You be using TOO MUCH SHOUDLER You !!!

Thanks Der_Echte for sharing this. I actually follow this channel and quite frequently look at the content which they are sharing. I find that they do share some very useful and simple tips on mechanics and overall form correction. I think it was pointed out that the channel caters more to...
  4. BTY Alc blade alternative

I found the feel of DTC to be softish if I compare it with the crisp feeling of TB ALC. May be it is the underlying composite material or the rubbers. Not sure, but I also suspected the DTC felt a notch faster that my TB ALC/ZJK ALC.
  5. BTY Alc blade alternative

Correct you are! Somehow I thought that this is a new thread. 😂 I should have checked the date of OP before posting.
  6. BTY Alc blade alternative

Nobody mentioned - Xiom Stradivarius. It is also a Koto top with Aramid Carbon and kiri core. I thought I will just bring it to OP kind attention. It is also in the price range which was mentioned in the initial post.
  7. Xiom Omega VII Euro vs...

Thanks for the elaborate reply Thomas, I really appreciate your effort and time to answer my query. I also play around 12 hours (max.) every week and I think your choice of rubbers is same as mine. I, however, also read that you prefer H3Neo which might be a completely unexplored option for me...
  8. Xiom Omega VII Euro vs...

Hello Yogi, Will not O7A be too hard for the backhand? Ya, few players who prefer harder rubbers on the backhand might like it as it is style dependent but normally players who prefer to topspin on both wings prefer harder rubbers on the FH and a bit softer rubber on the backhand.
  9. Xiom Omega VII Euro vs...

Completely agree with you. BTW, I am looking for some inputs on the life of rubbers like Nittaku Fastarc G-1, C-1, Yasaka Rakza X or anything else which is in affordable price range. I met a guy yesterday who came from NY. He was using MXP both sides. He told me that he plays 20 hrs per week and...
  10. Xiom Omega VII Euro vs...

Then whole heartedly buy Tenergy. One thing which I find with Xiom O7P is that it is very good rubber to play the ball on the rise. But if you are out of position and you have to lift a ball which is low using topspin then this rubber is really worse in that department. It could be my technique...
  11. Besides table tennis, what hobbies/sports do you do in your free time?

I like to read a lot and take long walks/jogs. I used to have shelves and shelves of books but now it is mostly audiobooks and e-books. I still own 3 shelves full of books though. Also, I recently started doing yoga almost every morning and I am loving it.
  12. EJ Covid dreams, hungarian edition.

I have 2 Donic Senso Ultra Carbons. Both are in the 89-90 gms range. The senso handles as per my earlier evaluation give a wonderful feel on the correct ball contact. If you hit the ball in the 'sweet spot' the feeling/sensation which you get in your hand is something difficult to put in words...
  13. EJ Covid dreams, hungarian edition.

And I was wondering that it's only me in the whole world who likes/used to like Senso handles.
  14. Xiom Omega VII Euro vs...

I started using Xiom O7E VII since January this year. I use it on my backhand. Earlier, I was using Butterfly Tenergy 05FX on my backhand for 3 years. I reach around 1800+ on my leagues rating till last year before COVID hit and then I stopped playing in tournaments and leagues. As per the...
  15. Compare boll alc with treiber co

One question - for close to the table play will CO be better or CI? My thought is that CI will be better but I would like to understand the opinion of others as well
  16. Butterflys MYSTERIOUS New Blade | Revoldia CNF Review

Xiom 36.5 ALX, Xiom Hugo Series, Yasaka Falck Carbon, Andro CI Series are all cheaper alternatives in my opinion. Not sure why this much money should be invested in buying a controlled blade when there are plenty of options in less than half price and offer most modern development in blade...
  17. Achtung Lula !! Kim Jung Hoon 1:1 Lesson with Div 5 Short Pips FH Dude

Wow! these lessons are a treasure trove. Thanks Der_Echte for sharing these. It is a shame that I don't know Korean so that I cannot follow the exact sense of what coach Kim is saying. These kind of lessons must be very expensive to take as well. At least here in US, I need to be ready to donate...
  18. Opinions on Grip tape

Hi Lula, you might be right here. As grip tape adds a bit of padding although thin but still it is there. And that for sure would mute the vibrations. However, you will notice this only when you make a transition or start comparing between a blade which has grip tape added and the one which...
  19. Opinions on Grip tape

I started using grip tape when I shifted from FL to ST handle. Somehow it felt that ST handle is flying away from my hand. Also, I changed brand of my blade. Butterfly ST handles especially ZJK ALC are thin as per my liking and the problem was solved after using grip tape. I also realized that...
  20. TTD Team KNOCKOUT Tournament 2020

Thanks Carl, yes, you have put my thoughts into right words here. Consistently lethal. It is a tournament which I felt that should have been experienced in person. What an atmosphere with friends and what a competition. Simply Amazing!
