Thanks for the advice on the backhand, currently practicing at my local Community club with my fellow lefties penhold buddy. Been doing the drills. I was looking at the old Kim taek soo videos and tried to replicate the topspin blocks. I do do chop blocks but not often, as it spoils the...
  5. My Taiwan Cypress blades

I may have to try getting better footwork, but as a 1.74 player at my age I may get around it
  6. My Taiwan Cypress blades

Yeah as jpen, i am forehand dominant, but my friends have figured it out and have been hitting quite a bit to my deep backhand. I did try step around forehand a few times but not very reliable. About playing for how long I think you must have been playing before I was born! I'm only 14 this year

Nice! Since I started playing at 7, I have used jpen. Started with my dad's old Senkoh 1, with ancient sriver. I find slight trouble with consistency of my backhand topspin. Is there a certain wrist movement to help. My wrist is usually kept quite loose tho, to allow tpb Chiquita, which I find...

Just wondering is the back of the blade painted black or red with fingers rest cork. Maybe for thinner blades if they come up in the future, 9mm and below, the back cork will be cut short for rpb rubber. As for that maybe for those models come up with a rounded head model like the miyabi.

  13. My Taiwan Cypress blades

Yep that cyberspace giving me thoughts already. I was thinking the slightly tapered off narrow head design of the modern Xiom Hibi O blades for easier backhand to forehand. I think these have good power too.
  14. My Taiwan Cypress blades

Interesting... I just visited your website and saw the models listen. Tho not a cpen player, I was drawn to the stiga cyberspace looking blade, with what looks like short cpen handle. I was wondering for your main jpen, as shown in the picture on top, is that 10mm? And what is the size of the...

Oh wow. As jpen player looks good. How thick? What kind of hinoki?
  16. new ITTF regulations that modify the traditional point-scoring system

Omg this doesn’t sound good. And is the sets first to 3 or 4. The game would be so short then isn’t it. As for chances of comeback, practically gone. one thing about the old 21 point system is that it reallay is test of cardio. To playing to first to 3 sets it must take serious stamina. Now what?
