Nahh, you're overthinking it mate. This blade is okay for shakehand as well as for penhold play. It's a bit hard (hard outer ply) but that doesn't mean it's useless for penhold.

I mean, Im a chinese rubber fan myself, so my opinion might be biased, but if I were you, i'd find a different coach since there are some subtle differences in the way you play chinese rubbers vs european rubbers, mostly revolving around hitting the ball a bit more in comparison to the EU rubbers.

I actually get quite a similar effect from using the battle 2 blue sponge 39.

For me it was the other way around. It was much easier to generate spin with the blue sponge version compared to the orange sponge.

Yeah it does because h2 has lower throw than h3, so it's better for lower arching powerful loops, while h3 has a higher throw, so it supports the spinny loops more.

Nowadays its really hard to find the H2 in any better quality than the commercial (even the commercial is quite rare). Why would you want to use the H2? It has a much lower throw than the H3.
