  1. What to replace vega europe with?

C-1 is around 44 g on a regular blade. Moon 12 M- should be even less, but is marketed as a backhand rubber. I've read a lot of good things about Aurus Soft aswell.
  2. New user intro + advice on gear experimenting + advice on Lodro (just kidding)

I wholeheartedly disagree. It's not tacky, no, but IMO there is a lot of grip. Well worth trying for the price.
  3. New user intro + advice on gear experimenting + advice on Lodro (just kidding)

Both Mercury 2 and Battle 2 Soft should be very tacky. Very different from most premade non Chinese-style bats. Softer, slower non-tacky rubbers usually gives more control in looping, driving etc. but tend to be "springy" in short game, where good touch is required to not give the opponent a...
  4. First custom paddle from Aliexpress - need help with rubbers and blade

I would do Sanwei Fextra 5 and Mercury 2 on both sides for a really beginner-type setup, or maybe Moon 12 medium soft on backhand if you don't want the tackiness on your BH. For something a bit faster I would go with Jupiter 3 Asia 38' on FH and Moon 12 medium hard on BH.
  5. Looking for forehand hybrid rubber

Yinhe Apollo 5 is great Chinese style hybrid for the price.
  6. Review: Jupiter 3 DPRK national version (black sponge)

I was going to say that you have the 39 degree hardness, and then I realized that you just took the picture of the packaging from ProTT.. How would you compare this to Apollo 5?
  7. Top 5 OFF- (Offensive minus) blade?

From the blades I have tested (in no particular order): Xiom Offensive S Sanwei Parla Sanwei Fextra 5 Yasaka Extra Offensive Andro Timber 5 OFF As an upgrade from the YSE I would probably go with the Offensive S, great allround blade, designed to be a rival/clone of the Korbel, however far more...
  8. On receiving serve, why the receivers are always squatting low, eye level on the net, but when the opponent toss the ball, the receiver stand up?

If someone is serving a fast long serve it's easier to counter it when being low to the table IMO. You can then raise your upper body to receive a short or half long serve as you will have time to do so. The other way around - not so much.
  9. How to remove glue

Rev. 3 medium viscosity is also good for peeling off
  10. Suggestion about Blade and rubber choices

I would say it’s worth trying to fix the blade, and then just upgrade to faster rubbers. I’m guessing you didn’t boost the H3 on the forehand?
  11. Andro TP Ligna Allround Table Tennis Blade review?

My Timber 5 Off (FL) have a nice chunky handle for my larger sized hands :) I believe the Treiber series also shares this larger handle design.
  12. Yinhe Pro-01 weight?

I’m looking for a Yinhe Pro-01 in FL. Some places states the weight as 88-93 g, some as 90 +/- 3 g, and some as 93 +/- 3 g. Anyone who have played several and knows what weights to go for and what to steer clear of?
  13. Xiom blades, any affordable ones?

Xiom (Novus) Extreme S is a 7-ply all wood blade made as a competitor/alternative for the Clipper I believe.
  14. How many layers of glue do you use?

    2+2, thin layers
  15. Good FH rubbers for YEO

I had a sheet of Apollo 5 40' laying around (somewhat close to J3), so I decided to glue that on and will try it later today!
  16. Good FH rubbers for YEO

Any other suggestions? Could be ESN/hybrid rubbers as well. I do believe TG2 would be even slower than the J3 Asia, yes?
  17. Good FH rubbers for YEO

Wouldn't unboosted H3 be even slower than the J3 Asia?
  18. Good FH rubbers for YEO

I'm currently using J3 Asia 39, what do you who have a YEO have on the FH? I really like the "Chinese style" spin and control the J3 gives, however i find it to be ever so slightly lacking in the speed compartment. Also QC is so so, one sheet had a big "dull" patch in the middle where the...
  19. Blade & Rubber suggestion/recommendation - starting over

I would add Sanwei Fextra 5. Cheap and good.
