  4. SDC Handmade Blades

Hey Sergio, what kind of ALC to you use when making a W968? Is is similar to BTY's blue ALC or more similar to DHS's yellow ALC?

  7. Advice to prevent ESN rubber shrinkage?

Several pros do if you pay attention. Look at Timo Boll's video gluing his rackets.
  8. Advice to prevent ESN rubber shrinkage?

    Fastarcs do too I believe.
  9. Tenergy 05 Hard v D09c

Yea, T05 FX is the one BTY rubber I truly love and can justify paying for, especially now that I tried Nittaku Hammond Z2 on the forehand. Use to play T05 FX 1.9 on both sides for 2-3 years, now just on the BH. You outta try Z2, especially since you like the old Hammond.
  10. Tenergy 05 Hard v D09c

D09C is more secure in touch play, T05H is still very bouncy. Maybe try K3, Hammond Z2 or stick to tacky rubbers if they work for you.
  11. Advice to prevent ESN rubber shrinkage?

My advice: don’t use ESN rubbers! At least the ones from the German brands, all factory-boosted which is bound to create a lot of shrinkage on a porous cake sponge On a more serious note: use a mild glue like Revolution 3, and more importantly, leave a 2mm overhang around the blade like a lot...
  12. Alternative to Hurricane 3 Neo

Ex-Provincial player who coaches at LATTA uses 5 layers of booster, takes him a whole week.
  13. Nittaku Acoustic Carbon / inner carbon

I completely agree with you Brs! What rubbers to you have on your Acoustic Carbon?
  14. DHS W968 review

Definitely crisp enough for T05 FX and not bouncy. I think it's well suited for harder and softer tension rubbers as well as Chinese tacky, so a wide range of rubbers which is not very common.
  15. DHS W968 review

Not sure, whichever one has the thicker core. Also probably the X model. But I think it mostly comes down to the selected materials and finish.
  16. DHS W968 review

Faster definitely given the gears, I don’t know about stiffer, it’s just crisp whereas the HL5 feels hollow and mushy on most shots, like the IF ALC does.
  17. DHS W968 review

Love it is! The W968's feel and touch is insane and so are the gears. It doesn't feel mushy or hollow like the HL5 can and has an amazing crisp yet soft feeling. And the handle is purrrfect lol. To me, they're too completely different blades. Eager to see what you think.
  18. DHS W968 review

Thanks! That'd be great. And let me know if you find it. My guess is that while you might find a 968 clone with the same comp and specs (thickness of plies), the quality of the wood, fiber and carbon used in the 968 and the selection process it's going through is second to none, it really feels...
