  1. Continuation on splintering problem

What I did a couple of times to fix my V14Pro: carefully lift that splint a bit and use a tiny bit super glue to glue it back on. If the surface is not as flat as before sand it with 400 or 600 grit sandpaper. Super glue on the playing surface can be removed with a sharp knife, sanding or acetone.
  2. Eugene vs 2200 player

Everything's possible in TT ;) Eugenes namesake Evgueni Chtchetinine 1) won against Mossily a couple of days ago 11:5 11:0 11:3 2) Chtchetinine's TTR is currently 2305 but he peaked at 2531 in 2006 3). Mossily TTR = 2147, peak TTR 2195 in 2019. In the same match Chtchetinine beat František...
  3. Who was the 1st player to use boosters?

We know that Yasaka experimented and patented it: https://patents.google.com/patent/JP2008049094A/en Patent application in 2006 by Takashi Yaoita and Eiji Kamei. Hirosi Yaoita, one of Yasaka’s founders, played table tennis. So presumably his son Takashi Yaoita (still Yasaka's president) also...
  4. My FIRST Day competing in Germany

Maybe I should have written that a bit differently... Warsteiner, Krombacher etc. are the mass producers to avoid. Local breweries are too many to list them all but I can try to list a few I remember and like :) Aktienbrauerei Kaufbeuren/ABK, Apostelbräu, Grasser Brauerei, Martinsbräu, Riegele...
  5. DHS fans unite!

  6. My FIRST Day competing in Germany

If you like good beer than get some from the smaller (local) breweries. Especially in Bavaria there are so many breweries that make way better beer than the mass producers 1) One of the unwritten rules in the lower leagues 2) 3): don't complain if the serve is not totally unfair. There are so...
  7. My FIRST Day competing in Germany

Beautiful region. Close to the southernmost city in Germany (Sonthofen). What I do before matches? Nothing special: a bit dynamic stretching and a long warm up session if possible 1), sometimes I listen to music. Btw: Your initial TTR value will be the average of all players in that...
  8. Short review of Glayzer 09c

Depends on how durable it is. Sponge should not be a problem due to its hardness but the topsheet might be. Glayzer 09C is 44,90€ over here and a Rasanter C53 or C48 64,95€ without discounts (goes down to 48 something when buying 10) and I would definitely choose G09C over these Rasanters on FH...
  9. HELP!

If you like the feeling of the Korbel than simply get a new one but keep the blade weight in a normal range (85g to 90g). There are Korbels with 100g and very light ones around 80g. If you don't like the feeling of the Korbel or especially don't like the balance (Korbels get quite head heavy...
  10. Glayzer 09c

Review by 'ttarc' on item 'Glayzer 09c'

Controlled compared to some hybrid bouncy balls, which are only slowed down to a certain extent by their sticky topsheet but not (too) slow. It is definitely a rubber that rewards good shot execution. With a good position and good stroke execution there is enough speed even on the backhand...
  11. Which one would be best for my FH? (SEE VIDEO) H3 Pro BS | H3 Nat BS | 729 II Pro

Maybe the newer 729 Battle 3. Quite close to H3 without having to use booster ;)
  12. Short review of Glayzer 09c

I agree with most of that but still would recommend it Setup: H3 39 boosted on FH, G09C unboosted on BH on a heavier 92g Falcima Pros: - light: 44g cut in 2.1 mm - low catapult which I like - low tackiness but better than no tackiness at all ;) - short game - not to reactive to incoming spin...
  13. Which one would be best for my FH? (SEE VIDEO) H3 Pro BS | H3 Nat BS | 729 II Pro

6 month is doable with one sheet of H3 but I'm using such sheets only for training because in matches I can't rely on the topsheet's grip of these old H3s. Never used national H3s though only commercial and provincial and some Nittaku H3 Neo (orange sponge, only 4 corners like a national but...
  14. Madeira Table Tennis

Would like to know that too. Didn't find the time to play when I was there a couple of months ago :) Cabo Girão Levada dos Balcões/Miradouro dos Balcões
  15. Koto-inner carbon blades?

DHS 301, 301X, 301T, 301Z, 729 F-1, Yinhe Mars 201 and 202, Sword Diamond Fire and Diamond Wind, Donic True Carbon Inner. Afaik True Carbon Inner, Diamond Fire and F-1 use kiri for the core all other blades use ayous.
  16. Reputable equipment suppliers that we've used as buyers

Exactly. Spinfactory is aware of this and one or two other fake shops that scraped/copied Spinfactory's product descriptions and images.
  17. Septear lead + H3 blue sponge provincial 40 : Need advice

If I'm not mistaken than the Septear Lead has a kiso kinoki top ply. The only blade I had with such an outer ply was a Cornilleau Hinotec Off- (hinoki, limba, ayous, limba, hinoki), 6mm, quite stiff and fast for a 5-ply wood (off- to low off when hit hard). Felt nice on BH with H8-80 but...
  18. Stiga Infinity VPS upgrade path

Depending on the weight of the Infinity smaller/larger upgrades could be Avalox AVX P500: 5-ply, koto instead of limba outer ply YEO/Yasaka Ma Lin Extra Offensive: 5-ply, walnut instead of limba outer ply Both have spruce as a second ply and an ayous core like the Infinity so they behave...

  20. What's a good Chinese bh rubber?

Just for testing and training commercial H3 (Neo) is good enough. Commercial might become a bit too inconsistent after heavy boosting or reboosting (too often). Btw for some reason Li-Ning now tries to sell rubbers and blades in their German online shop...
