  1. New Equipment 2024

Thanks. Sounds promising :) Hopefully availability will be better soon (only found it on Nishohi and TT-Japan). Resonate blades still not available here and the new Exfiber blades might also not find their way to Europe.
  2. New Equipment 2024

That's pretty light for a rubber that's around 50° ESN. I'm still looking for "the" optimal backhand rubber. Glayzer 09C (quite close if softened and boosted and also pretty light but the sponge is as brittle as many ESN rubbers). H3 37 for serves, short game and flicks, G09C or H3 39/B3 39 for...
  3. Butterfly innerforce ZLC for a player who has been playing for 7 years and is middle-aged???

What I do to select a blade for testing (if I'm not purely EJing ;)) is read some reviews to get an idea how this blade could play but more importantly I go to ttgearlab.com and look up the numbers if TTGearLab has measured this blade. Ep = primary elasticity index (basically speed), Ec =...
  4. Screwed by AliExpress.... again.

I've also ordered many times from AliExpress and had no issues except for long delivery times when ordering glues or boosters (these are shipped by rail https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chongqing–Xinjiang–Europe_railway). Tracking always worked but what I noticed a couple of month ago was that the...
  5. Is D09c bad for brush-looping?

@v100ev: Same here. I've also tried many hybrid rubbers and had the same issues. They all want this fuller contact/more sponge/hitting through the ball than rubbers like B2 or H3. Problem (for me) is that they need to be played like this all the time otherwise the shot quality is low(er) or...
  6. How to Overcome Trembling in Table Tennis Forehand?

Not a diagnosis but a friend that plays guitar had that once https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Focal_dystonia
  7. TTD Team vs Pongfinity - COMING SOON!

Yes, finally :) Old match Dane vs Beast (Beast won) both have improved since then, Miikka too. TTRs of 2170 Beast vs 2136 (all time high) Miikka. Otto has won against Felix Kleeberg 2115 and https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kazeem_Nosiru (TTR 2158 at that time) TomorrowTableTennis-Series...
  8. Got a racket from Anders Lind

Ever smelled an Evolution rubber? Compared that smell to some other ESN rubbers and a couple of boosters? And why do many ESN rubbers shrink?
  9. Friendship 729 battle 3

@Zwill: I think I've answered that already ;) "If it gets some factory/non-factory boosting it could also be a really good BH rubber.". Maybe I should try it again as it is laying around for quite a long time (half a year or so boosted with one layer). One or two league matches to go before the...
  10. using speed glue only?

Bicycle shop nearby? https://tiptop.dk/webshop/45-cement--lim/125-vulkaniserings-vaeske-25-g/ or https://tiptop.dk/webshop/45-cement--lim/126-vulkaniserings-vaeske-500-g/ Not the cheapest but available nearly everywhere. Contains lighter fluid/naphtha https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naphtha...
  11. Any cheap Limba-Spruce-Ayous blades from China?

    No hardwood, just dyed limba.
  12. Any cheap Limba-Spruce-Ayous blades from China?

    729 Z-1 and Yinhe Earth-3
  13. Yinhe 30th Anniversary Version pro V14

TB ALC/TB Spirit and V14 Pro can be quite close. I found mine (87g) to be a bit slower, less reactive/explosive/sharp. https://ttgearlab.com/2024/03/15/performance-indices-db-outer-fiber-blades/ measured something similar. For $21 I would definitely buy one or two ;)
  14. Using an Expensive Rubber vs Cheap Rubber, that is the question.

AK47 is nearly unbeatable for that price. Even the harder ~47° ESN AK47 red is very lightweight, plays also nicely (no question there are better rubbers out there but it plays very well) but I had issues with topsheet durability i.e. grip/oxidation. Dynaryz ACC has a 47.5° ESN sponge if I'm not...
  15. The thick sponge and tacky topsheet is no good at all.

Because the study is from 1994 when we had 38 mm celluloid balls and neither Hurricane 3 nor FastArc G-1. Now we have 40 mm plastic balls and a semi-tacky "sticky enough that the ball cannot slide" Hurricane 3 ;)
  16. Provincial/National H8-80

    37° DHS/Shore A are around 47° ESN, 38° DHS around 49°

  18. Provincial/National H8-80

Also never had oxidation problems but the weights and sponge hardnesses differed too much. Lighter would have been OK (to match my H3 37) but not with a way softer sponge. Btw: The new GoldArc 9 uses the same #80 sponge according to DHS' 2024 catalogue...
