  1. Can I still re-use this blade?

I wanted to try some DHS blades (inner and outer carbon) this summer but had not enough time. What I tested were some Loki blades (Telson CNF and Speed) which came factory sealed. They have the Telson Power with a similar construction as the H301 which might be factory sealed too (handle is...
  2. Can I still re-use this blade?

OK, that looks worse than I thought... I think that it's fixable (remove handle, remove the whole top ply, glue on a new top ply) by one of the blade builders here but I don't know if it's worth it... @hipnotic @Nico_03 @Nate4s
  3. Can I still re-use this blade?

It depends on how worse it is... any pictures? Quick fix if there's not too much damage (not in the main hitting area) is to use super glue (or wood glue if you have the time) and than to sand any irregularities down with 400 grit sandpaper.
  4. Beast in ASC Grünwettersbach

Definitely easier if one has an account but without an account you don't see TTR history/match history, statistics and so on. Edit: @Tony's Table Tennis if your player wants to play tournaments in Germany she/he needs to have a mytischtennis.de account and get a tournament license (don't ask...
  5. Beast in ASC Grünwettersbach

There are places... https://www.tischtennis.de/topsport/ligen-pokal/national.html then go to TTBL, 2., 3. Nord or 3. Süd then to Mannschaftsmeldungen (team roster) and then VR (Vorrunde, first half of the season) or RR (Rückrunde, second half of the season) 1. Bundesliga...
  6. DHS Hurricane 8-20 provincial is available in China

Is it really the topsheet that makes H8s so heavy? My commercial H8-80s 37° were between 44g cut to over 50g and the sponge hardness varied a lot (including too soft) but I never had a commercial or provincial DHS H3(N) (37° to 40°) weighing over 50g except one Nittaku H3 Neo.
  7. DHS Hurricane 8-20 provincial is available in China

Does someone know if the H8-20 is lighter than the H8-80?
  8. Best 5 ply all wood under $20 on AliexPress (it's not for me)

Similar to Stiga Offensive Classic? Than 729 Z-1 or Loki Kirin K5 or Yinhe Earth E-3 (limba, spruce, ayous core) or Yinhe Earth E-1, DHS PG2 or PG3 (koto, spruce, ayous core).
  9. how do DHS DJ40+ balls compare to other 3 star balls?

You're not the only one trying to convince no-spin Nittaku players ;) Under more or less optimal conditions the differences are not huge but still significant 1) If humidity is too high or one's sweating too much the Nittaku balls are more or less frictionless. Funnily enough Nittaku sells the...
  10. Friendship 729 battle 3

My Blue Arylates all like H3 but I'm not using 42° bricks on FH ;) Just 39° and 40°. What I quite liked was Glayzer 09C on BH. A bit too demanding (unboosted) when not in position but very rewarding when executing decent strokes.
  11. First Hurricane attempt

Might want to visit: ;) Li-Ning owns 57.5% of DHS https://doc.irasia.com//listco/hk/lining/annual/ar71068-ew02331.pdf
  12. DHS rubber or Chinese rubber similar to Tenergy 25fx

DHS tacky: Hurricane 8-80 37, Skyline 3-60 37/35, H3N 37 (boosted) DHS non-tacky: GoldArc 8 (Made in Germany/is a tensor), GoldArc 9 (Made in China, same sponge as H8-80) Loki non-tacky: Telson 100 47.5, low trajectory, very spinny, very fast Besides the Skyline 3-60 which is available with a...

  14. Hurricane III outlaw rubbers.

Tibhar Hybrid MK: one authorization number and at least three different sponges (normal, pro, fx), MX-P and MX-P 50: two different sponges, like Hybrid K3 and K3 Pro, Donic BlueStorm Pro and Pro AM, Gewo Codexx EL Pro 52 and EF Pro 54 (different sponges and different colors), Codexx Pro Super...
  15. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

I couldn't resist and had to boost the Telson 100 a bit... reacts quite strong so only one thin layer. Softer, short game, serves etc. not that different. Still controlled just a bit faster. Arc is a bit higher but I still wouldn't call it medium. As suspected the speed difference between...
  16. Hurricane III outlaw rubbers.

https://equipment.ittf.com/#/equipment/manuals -> M4: Racket Coverings The relevant parts are "2.1 PRODUCT AND BRAND Authorisation is given to the top sheet plus the top sheet / sponge combination. 17. Post your latest EJ purchase

I've never played with an SALC or ZLC blade so can't compare with these blades. At least my CNF is quite "slow" when using not much power 1) but it speeds up significantly when hitting hard(er). Faster than my V14Pro and 729 Blue Arylate. First reaction from my training partners was to ask if I...
  18. DHS fans unite!

H3 Provincial BS can be bought for around 36€ (around 43€ incl. 19% import sales tax) 1) 2) Haifu Seamoon for around 15€ (homemade booster would be even cheaper and is sufficient for my liking and longer lasting) Never played with D09C but say its topsheet is twice as durable as the one on my...
  19. Your Top 5 of blades

    1. Donic Persson Powerplay. The good old heavy (100g) ones I've played in the 38mm era and still have. 2. Yasaka Ma Lin Extra Offensive. Best all-wood blade I've played after returning to TT 3. to 5. some outer carbon blades not made by Butterfly ;)
  20. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

Yes... had just one session so far. No drills, just some matches with players I know. Different blade than usual 1), H3 on FH and BH worked well but BH with Telson 100 was way to inconsistent. Playing against unknown opponents would have been a disaster. Agree with @Wakkibatty...
