  1. I lost my spark for playing TT

Don’t think it applies here, because when I say teach I mean playing with not playing against, it’s more of a couples activity, just like board game or video games, it’s about having a fun time together. It’s not however trying to make the other reach the same level as you are in a certain way...
  2. I lost my spark for playing TT

Why does coaching tt means you’ll be playing matches? Coaching tt could also mean having some family workout time, because it’s raining outside. It’s just an activity to burn some calories.
  3. I lost my spark for playing TT

So yeah we are saying the same thing, it’s like I said a few posts back, these are all just opinions. Which is what started all this, I said it’s opinions and we can agree to disagree, but someone just have to say their opinion is a fact.
  4. I lost my spark for playing TT

Seems like you quoted while I added some stuff, so I’ll post it here again. And it doesn’t have to be tt, what about other things in life, no one’s knows everything, so you’ll have to teach something to your partner eventually, so do you just avoid all such scenarios? Like if you learnt a magic...
  5. I lost my spark for playing TT

But why does there have to be an imbalance in power dynamics? Is that what teaching is? A show of “you know better”? If that’s how you teach, no wonder you think it’s bad to teach your partner. Like I said, teaching is just another name we call communication, and there’s always a right way to...
  6. I lost my spark for playing TT

lol exactly my point, there is no way to prove it scientifically, thus it is just your opinion. See that’s why it’s important to know what to say , and let others realize the idea themselves. Also, every person is different, your experience is just your experience, it doesn’t necessarily apply...
  7. I lost my spark for playing TT

But it is your opinion. Unless you can prove it scientifically that someone teaching their gf table tennis is bad, it is just your opinion.
  8. I lost my spark for playing TT

Well that’s your opinion, so we’ll have to agree to disagree here.
  9. Creating side underspin with a loop

I guess you can say it’s a loop in English, but in Chinese that’s usually called 兜, but I can’t really find a proper translation for that. That word literally means “to surround”, and in tt it means you touch the ball on the under/side , then throw it out.
  10. I lost my spark for playing TT

Just so everyone knows what Sun Yingsha looks like with long hair
  11. I lost my spark for playing TT

But if gf wants to learn then that’s a whole different story 😆
  12. I lost my spark for playing TT

Ok then “Cuteness is in the eyes of the beholder” lol All I’m trying to say is , cute or not is subjective, not objective. It’s a human emotion that someone or something feels cute, or cute for you doesn’t have to be cute for others. Like some people like pigs, so then pigs are cute to them...
  13. I lost my spark for playing TT

But it is. There is an old Chinese saying “情人眼里出西施” , commonly translated to “Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder”
  14. I lost my spark for playing TT

    Cute is relative 😉
  15. I lost my spark for playing TT

Or teach gf how to play TT
  16. Post your latest EJ purchase

mid soft is relative. Also isn’t the whole idea of hybrid rubbers tacky top sheet + springy softer sponge?
  17. Post your latest EJ purchase

729 Dragon Pro F mid-soft just arrived, put it on TMXi Pro to test. First impressions, it’s very tacky, so before I can wear it down a bit it’ll be really slow on softer shots. Harder hits and loops feel similar to H8-80, throw angle is pretty low, but spin is good, meaning the ball flies...
  18. FS: Lots of blades (30+) and rubbers (lost count...) US only

I don't quite remember how SAL felt, it's been three years since I tried it. Freeze HRD is harder than FZD ALC, but it's somewhat similar, I didn't use it for long though since I just hate the outer fiber feel, good in practice sessions, but fails in matches.
  19. FS: Lots of blades (30+) and rubbers (lost count...) US only

Link to weights of all the blades with pictures: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1r13c-c0c4V1CZ4D7mJwixeiAVJBJq_u0 This link is also in the original post.
  20. USTTA rating v.s. expected win-rate

Like I said way way back, I didn't come on a TT forum to do math. And you're clearly still not acknowledging where you were wrong in the post I quoted. I guess it's not obvious to you, just like what you said was obvious, but was not to the OP.
