  1. Xuperman Powerplay-x: A Rubber by Xu Xin

Xuperman is quite different from T05 in my opinion. T05 is so much faster and higher throw angle. Also with T05 you can create backspin with very little effort, just a little bit of a wrist flick...
  2. Xuperman Powerplay-x: A Rubber by Xu Xin

UPDATE TO REVIEW: I played with Xuperman again today and I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. To create backspin you need to jab the ball with a very sharp motion, even to the point where your wrist bounces backward after. At the same time, you need to be very relaxed in the wrist and...
  3. Xuperman Powerplay-x: A Rubber by Xu Xin

INCOMING REVIEW!! Hi all, I got my hands on some Xuperman Powerplay-X and tried it for a 3-hour playing session tonight. I thought it had some really unique qualities, and wanted to share my thoughts about it. A bit about me: I'm around 1500 USATT rating and I typically play 1-sided penhold...
  4. Xuperman Powerplay-x: A Rubber by Xu Xin

I just ordered some from prott. Looking forward to trying it, as Xu Xin is my favorite player and I try to imitate his playing style.
  5. Butterfly CYPRES G-MAX - Rubber suggestions!!

Hurricane 3 or Skyline 2/3 is the way to go imo. Can't beat tacky Chinese rubbers. The loops are so nice and they do well in the short game and blocking without feeling dead. I'd go for max thickness rubber, black Hurricane 3 Neo.
  6. Hinoki blades with Chinese rubbers?

I know this thread is somewhat old now but I wanted to add my two cents now that I've had some time to try different options. I play traditional penhold style with a 1-ply 10.5mm kiso hinoki blade. I've tried Tenergy 05, Dignics 09c, and Hurricane 3 on it, and Hurricane is by far my favorite...
  7. Hinoki blades with Chinese rubbers?

I have tried using Dignics 09c on my Darker Speed 90 and it's really nice. Still on the fence about whether to switch to D09c or stick with a heavily boosted Hurricane 3.
  8. Which Hurricane 3 should I choose?

I'd just go with regular commercial version. Boost it with 2-3 layers and you won't be able to tell the difference between commercial and national. I certainly can't.
  9. Hinoki blade for jpen

Hi all, I've gotten to a USATT rating of about 1000 with my pretty crappy pre-made Butterfly Nakama racket, and I am hoping to invest in a nice jpen blade to use for a long time. The gold standard for jpen blades seems to be Darker Kiso Hinoki though I was wondering if anyone else who plays with...
