I was in the same situation as OP, and I managed to get an 86g ST Korbel from Butterfly earlier this month. Also planning to use Rozena’s on both sides.

Why not a Fang Bo 2 or H301? Clones from the same company.

This is me. Been playing with a Yasaka Extra with Mark V for a few years now and looking to step-up. Have a Korbel and kind of undecided on rubbers.

What are some alternatives to Rozena? I'd assume rubbers in the line of Vega Pro, Rakza 7, etc, but aren't those considered alternatives to Tenergy whereas Rozena is a "step down"? Thinking about playing Rozena on both sides of a Korbel, but Im reading a lot of "mediocre" comments.

I considered buying this as a collectors item before the price was released. This price is a slap in the face of anyone that knows better. Hopefully the ones that don't know better don't overpay too much on the 2nd hand market.

Is it possible to use the Minwax poly that comes in a spray can? Spray on cloth and wipe on, or directly on the blade & wipe?

NL, any particular reason why you didn't just go for a custom OSP in what you wanted versus the Hadraw? Esp seeing as the V-/+ & VK are similar priced.

Thanks for the advice. I was assuming that since the carbon is next to the core that it wouldn't be THAT fast, but I guess the koto doesn't help much either.

Not sure of your level of play, but we're pretty much in the same boat. Pick a solid 5-ply blade and try to train more than you play with it (if possible). Rubbers, get two of the same. Xiom Vega Europe. If you don't want to go soft, Xiom Vega Intro (also what I plan on getting). Blades...
