  1. Recommend a BH Rubber

What are you liking about it?
  2. Recommend a BH Rubber

Hello everyone! I am a FH loop oriented intermediate player. For my BH, I rely mostly on drives/blocks and am very (too) comfortable pushing. I have an okay BH loop against underspin but I barely use it; am looking to start focusing on it. Unrated but given the players I beat, I should be...
  3. Aliexpress Singles Day 2024

I know we discussed how much the prices change on 11.1 but since this is my first time, I am not sure I completely can reference what prices are good. For example, the following are the prices I see for the items I want: H3 Neo Orange Sponge (in the thickness/sponge hardness I want) = $20. I...
  4. Aliexpress Singles Day 2024

What would you say are the differences between the two? I think the Stuor Harimoto is your favorite blade, right?
  5. Upgrading F3 Pro

Is your H3 Neo 39 OS or BS? How has your experience with the rubber been like on the Pro 05?
  6. Upgrading F3 Pro

Is that a little bit harder/less flexible than the F3?
  7. Upgrading F3 Pro

Hello, I have been playing with my Sanwei F3 Pro with Big Dipper 39 (FH) and Moonspeed 12 (Medium-hard) for the last 4 months. My FH has improved during that time. I like the setup but having tried some more H3Ns from a few clubmates, I wanted to get a sheet (39 OS) along with an extra...
  8. Practice serve without table

Hello everyone! With life being what it is currently, I will not be able to go to the club as often as I would like. In its absence, I have been doing regular shadow strokes at home but I am having difficulty to practice serving with no table. Would appreciate any ideas/thoughts/feedback on...
  9. Heming Hu, 2xOlympian (Rio and Tokyo) in Table Tennis here to help your game and personal struggles in the game

Hello and welcome! I have actually followed your channel for a while but good to actually see you here and give specific advice/suggestions to player questions. I am a low-intermediate player (probably around 1200-1300 USATT) My biggest goal in table tennis is to reach 2000 by the time I can't...
  10. Chinese Blade for BD 39 + Yinhe Moon 12

Update 2: So I am reaching the 3 month mark on using BD 39 + Moon + F3 Pro setup. Following are my thoughts playing roughly 4 hours a week. Big Dipper 39 (FH): I have been focusing on predominantly improving my FH technique during this period. And I am happy to report, my loop success % with...
  11. FH loop problem

You can find videos on this too but here is some more information on it: http://www.tabletenniscoaching.com/node/54 tl;dr - you practice your shots/footwork without the ball (preferably in front of the mirror)
  12. FH loop problem

Omg, are you me? First thing that is helping me is watching videos of myself and what you say sounds just like me. Second, I am doing a lot of shadow practice and drills, where I am trying to use my arm to hit less and coordinate my body/waist movement with the arm. It is a slow process but I...
  13. Chinese Blade for BD 39 + Yinhe Moon 12

Yeah, it is the medium-hard. I am going to settle on this until these rubbers run out; hopefully I can snag Palio ak red and a medium soft Moon 12 come 11.11.
  14. Chinese Blade for BD 39 + Yinhe Moon 12

So an update on my 2nd time playing random matches for three hours on my new setup: BD 39 (FH) + Moon 12 (BH)+ F3 Pro Big Dipper 39 (FH): My plan in these random games was to predominantly play/test FH loops. Honestly, it was such a success even if I lost games to people I never lose to. I...
  15. Coaches in NYC?

Juggling work and distance will make Princeton too far for me . Definitely agree with the coach style + technical / training partner distinction. I am going to have to make an excel sheet with all these considerations with my coaching needs !! I appreciate the offer and will take you on it...
  16. Coaches in NYC?

This is great information! I'll do my due diligence @Dr Evil I had looked at Romain Lorentz + other coaches and it's nice to get some direct feedback. Thanks
  17. Coaches in NYC?

Also, for early-intermediate, how much does the level of the coach matter in your opinions? Like is it worth getting coaching from an Olympian ($80-100/hr) vs maybe a 2100+ rated player ($50-80) Like I mentioned, looking to make sure my technique is in an okay spot.
  18. Coaches in NYC?

Yeah, this seems like a good option and might be worth a day pass for the coaching too
