  1. Advice for returning awkward serves

I think we talked about it once. He said he is trying to do hard underspin. But having received his serve many times, it is always dead ball or near dead ball. I think he just doesnt know how to brush the ball. So my instinct keeps telling me the ball is underspin, but when I touch it i know...
  2. Tennilä Otto (Finland)

Never knew he was a pro player. I always watched his youtube and thought he's crazy good for a youtuber.
  3. Advice for returning awkward serves

Ok I guess I'll try to flick to the lefty FH side, even if I miss a few returns in a row. The trouble is, the serve has slightly different spin each time based on how he happens to strike the serve. I think he is trying to do heavy spin each time, but it doesn't come out right. It's usually...
  4. Lesson Learned - I regret Boosting my Stiga DNA Dragon Grip

What about for boosting ESN rubbers that are used and older?
  5. Lesson Learned - I regret Boosting my Stiga DNA Dragon Grip

What did you do with the boosted rubber? Did you try playing it again in the non-humid gym as some people suggested?
  6. Advice for returning awkward serves

A mate I play with often does the same serve that is very awkward for me to return. From the southpaw corner, he attempts to do a underspin, fast, short serve to my forehand near the net. (actually I think he serves inside the table to get the angle, but that's another story). Anyway, this...
  7. Which foot do you step forward with to flick?

I watched the drill video you posted. Any general advice and tips about how to get back into position quickly after doing a flick? I find that after I do a flick, I am out of place and vulnerable to any returned shot.
  8. Choose one! (P1)

Yes I agree this is the answer. If you're switching from MXP to Dignics or Viscaria to HL5, then blade will make the bigger difference. But as I mentioned with the hotel-level equipment, then the rubber will make the bigger difference.
  9. Sanwei target national new version

Have you tried selling Reactor? They make surprisingly good and cheap rubbers. Thunder black sponge is really quite spinny
  10. Choose one! (P1)

In my experience, rubber is way more important. Imagine a hotel blade with dignics on both sides. This will largely be playable. Conversely, a viscaria blade with those hotel plastic rubbers will not be playable.
  11. Which foot do you step forward with to flick?

When you step forward to do FH or BH flick near the net, is it considered proper technique to step forward with your left foot or right foot? (assuming right-handed player)
  12. Dynaryz ZGR vs Rakza Z Extra Hard

I tried my friend's ZGR today again on both sides. Even though its supposed to be very hard, it still feels less hard than Chinese rubbers in my opinion. ZGR is very slightly tacky, but nothing like the tackiness of H3 or something. I also tried it on backhand, and it feels very normal on...
  13. Sanwei target national new version

Also just now I tried putting on a layer of baby oil on the Target Pro 3, and very quickly it seems to react quite strongly to it. It curved more than I expected and more quickly than I expected as well. I suspect this rubber will react very strongly to booster as well.
  14. Sanwei target national new version

Well I didn't know that he had a shop, I just assumed that he bought it from a retailer. What are your favorite Yinhe rubbers that you sell? Why did you stop selling Butterfly and 729? 729 has some really interesting rubbers such as Presto, Battle 2, Bloom
  15. Sanwei target national new version

Well I tried hitting with the Target Pro 3 (or is it new Target Provincial?). Its actually not nearly as slow and dead as I thought it would be given the tackiness. It's got a little speed, as well as the hurricane type spin. With booster, I have a feeling it will be quite a monster rubber. It...
  16. Sanwei target national new version

I plan to test this for a couple sessions without booster. But I can already tell that it will be quite slow and dead because of the tackiness. After a session or two, I will probably boost with my special technique. I first boost with a light layer of baby oil until the rubber is flat or just...
  17. Sanwei target national new version

I just got my sheet of the provincial Target Pro 3. Topsheet says nano penetration target national on it. It has orange sponge that looks identical to H3 commercial. Its probably meant to be a clone afterall. The sponge is 39d, quite hard and quite dense. I wonder if its similar to your New...
  18. Lesson Learned - I regret Boosting my Stiga DNA Dragon Grip

Hehe, I always think boosting is fun. It's kind of exciting to see how the rubber will turn out.
  19. Lesson Learned - I regret Boosting my Stiga DNA Dragon Grip

Hey Victor, I always thought you're loops look very spinny and penetrating. Why not try playing with boosted H3 or Battle 2? You're style might be a good fit for that.
  20. Boosted H3 vs Boosted H3N?

Well I had a specific question, and thanks to the responses, it seems I have an answer. The Neo may be barely or slightly faster, but not anywhere near the effect of a full booster layer. Anyhow, you are always free to skip over the thread.
