  1. Sponge Hardness new Video

I think the sample needs to be big enough to avoid any impact from the rubber/sponge edges. Unfortunately that means we can't measure the sponge-only hardness without ruining the rubber.

can you put them against each other (sponge touching sponge) and press them together? Right now it seems only the topsheets are deforming.

This is an article published by LOKi official channel on bilibili in June, and it states that the hardness of LAC is 40 deg, I guess the 41 deg is not being produced anymore?

Your link said Rxton 5 is middle in text but middle-hard in the image... whereas Rxton 3 is mid-hard in text. I found that difficult to believe although I have no experience with Rxton 3. I wouldn't trust the seller a lot more than the manufacturer in terms of sponge hardness.

Rxton 5 was bought from aliexpress https://a.aliexpress.com/_mrlaBLE

It was bought from PDD in China and then brought to me. I think Loki is run by programmers, hence all the versions and updates of the "same" rubbers :D They should have attached the release note in the package!

My Arthur China is nominally 40 deg like @longle , not 41 deg as in the datasheet posted by @mattlamperouge ... not sure if it will bubble quickly. It also has 1 hyper-energy and 3 tension energy technology (1H-3T), instead of 1H-2T. So the bubbling issue could be related to the extra tension in...

J3>~R5>TP3. TP3 is too hard, heavy, tacky for me - it is rewarding for big swing, but I am rarely doing it. It is a good quality rubber for its price, but not for my taste. And I don't recommend putting it on wooden blade - I tried it on YEO first and that was difficult to use at intermediate...
  9. Friendship 729 battle 3

Doesn't sound like B3's higher price is justified, B2 38 deg or Battle MAX seem to fit the same purposes.

No I meant TP3, J3 and R5 are all from aliexpress :D My R5 isn't shiny probably because it is in Red, but it is slightly curved out of the package (topsheet more stretched than sponge). Personally I like this version of R5, not a big fan of true classic Chinese rubber like TP3 or the rock-hard...

Yes, all three rubbers from Aliexpress. Does the old one looks different e.g. different sponge colour/package?
  12. Is penhold still viable?

Penhold is viable in 40+ era unless your goal is to win the Olympics (Maybe Felix will surprise me next year :D). Whether it is the best style for you is a different matter.

It feels slightly softer than Sanwei Target 3 Provincial 39 deg, but definitely harder than Jupiter 3 38 deg. I'd still consider Rxton 5 39 deg, its hardness feel closer to TP3 than J3. All unboosted.
  14. Friendship 729 battle 3

I am currently using Presto MAX Spin on BH (also RPB), its spin level is very close to Baracuda that I used previously (at least I am not good enough to tell the difference). But it's double the price of AK47 and it rarely comes in red on Aliexpress.
  15. Is EJing good for improving?

It's not inevitable if you start with Fan Zhendong's setup :) alc, hurricane National, dignics etc. (I don't recommend doing that)
  16. I'm currently in full EJ mode. What other rubbers should I try?

It is odd that you hate Omega 7 Europe but like Baracuda and R47... I played with all three and find them all to be good rubbers. Edit: turns out it's Omega 4 Europe, that may be why.

If I were to boost, I would only boost cheap rubbers (<=15 dollars). Spending 60 dollars on a ZGR and I still need to boost it? I am not paying to manufacturers that can't be bothered to factory tune.
  18. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

I am deliberately staying away from boosters...already EJing too much, let's not add another dimension to it.

I have ordered LAC and Moon blue (mid hard), but I don't think I'll put moon blue on FH. So far I have practiced with Rxton 5 for 8 hours, it is good in most department, but I find it difficult to engage the sponge when I try to loop hard (I know it is a technical issue). The quality of brush...
