The LAC when unboxed is already curled in a bit like this: - make it a bit hard to glue the rubber on the blade

Also can you post a picture of the sponge's printing, because I saw a review and they have different printing to mine - this is mine:

Based on the spec sheet Some sponges are the same, Like the Rxton5 and N80, Some have changed colors, and there is also the treatment i guess "Energy" that i suppose changes the propierties of the rubbers.
Here is a Chart:

My Arthur China is nominally 40 deg like @longle , not 41 deg as in the datasheet posted by @mattlamperouge ... not sure if it will bubble quickly. It also has 1 hyper-energy and 3 tension energy technology (1H-3T), instead of 1H-2T. So the bubbling issue could be related to the extra tension in the topsheet (?).

I will report back when I get a chance to test it, currently it's 5th in the queue :D

phew. I'm lucking I got the 41d version. However, very frustrating that Loki is so random with their specs.

Which shop did you buy from?

It was bought from PDD in China and then brought to me.

I think Loki is run by programmers, hence all the versions and updates of the "same" rubbers :D They should have attached the release note in the package!

If they are selling on PDD, then they should be on Temu as well. Probably coming soon, that will give us more selection and better prices hopefully.

Which shop did you buy Rxton 5 on? can you link the page?
I want to check if the product description lists the rubber as hard

See, your listing actually says "hard", so it should be legit 41h.

I bought mine from here: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256...!sea!US!1644340096&curPageLogUid=fMsxzn9H5ZhC

Here the rubber is listed as "middle". I just assumed this was a listing mistake, because why would the rubber itself be a different hardness if its listed at 41h?

But I just wonder if maybe the seller realized the rubber was not hard, and therefore listed it as "middle" on purpose?

Your link said Rxton 5 is middle in text but middle-hard in the image... whereas Rxton 3 is mid-hard in text. I found that difficult to believe although I have no experience with Rxton 3. I wouldn't trust the seller a lot more than the manufacturer in terms of sponge hardness.

Well this is incredibly frustrating. I hope some new guy buys Rxton 5 and can verify if the newer ones are hard or medium. I may try to sell this soft Rxton 5 if I can. I guess my only reliable HARD rubbers are Jupiter 3 41 and H3 41.

What about sellers on TTD? @mocker88 @Tony's Table Tennis Are your Rxton 5's legit 41d hard rubbers, or do they feel much softer?

This is an article published by LOKi official channel on bilibili in June, and it states that the hardness of LAC is 40 deg, I guess the 41 deg is not being produced anymore?
What is going on? I was a big big fan of Loki, but they are starting to lose me.

I can feel your pain !!
I just checked my Arthur package and I must have been lucky and got the old one. The sponge hardness is still listed as "very hard" and the stamp on the sponge does say H 41.

I have also gone through all my blue R5 envelopes and mine are all either version 1 (fist pumping) or version 2 (folded arms in front of chest) and they all say " very hard ".

I conclude that Loki is going soft on us:LOL::LOL::LOL:

Well I tested Rxton 5 "soft" unboosted. It is one of the worst rubbers ive ever tested.

Every forehand shot feels like its topping out. The sponge is just too soft. There is very little rebound or spin. After 1 game you feel really tired because you need to work so hard.

Bad spin, bad speed, bad control. This rubber is not the same as original rxton 5.

I will try with booster to see if anything improves, but i doubt it.

I have a couple rubbers to compare the hardness to. I have a heavily boosted H3 39 that feels harder than the R5. I have a heavily boosted Big Dipper 38 that feels harder than the unboosted R5.

So this is probably a 36-37 hardness.
lot of players like soft rubber on the BH. Maybe you can find a buyer

Also noticed the new T3 is on sale already. but seems to be much more expensive than the old one
Its not New T3 per se, just like Arthur Pro (Internal energy) i shared earlier, its a "premium" product that not many sellers have, since it needs a minimum order of 300 or 500, so its logically a bit pricier (34usd feels a bit too expensive though) Btw my agent told me that Arthur Internal energy has a longer Dwell Time and Is More elastic than LAC but it isnt Tacky.

I'm fairly certain the sheet I got had a different label. I didn't find any hardness info on it, like this has A40. Also I can't remember the Kunlun 2? named sponge nor the "deep internal energy" 1H-3T mentioned on that.

Anyways on the weekend I gave my sheet a light lick of FTL and it works tremendously well. Hope it won't kill the rubber.

I wonder if it will be possible to ask shops to send rubbers with spec degrees and with tension levels specified... That would be sweet actually.
