  1. Limba, Hinoki, Ayous or Koto?

Hi, in this thread what's largely ignored is the material of the core. From my (I must admit) very little experience with this style, the best racket for flat hitting is thick balsa core with short pips. Whatever the outer plies there usually are. I guess it's balsa/carbon/hinoki.
  2. Tenergy 05 vs Tenergy 05 Hard

Well, it *is* hard, but results depend on your blade. On fh of viscaria and apolonia I couldn't loop backspin reliably. On the fh of feel zx3 (hinoki outer) it was much easier to use.
  3. BH rubber advice

Out of curiosity, how did it work for you? Blades/rubbers combinations?
  4. BH rubber advice

Then I guess t05 is going to be good for you. I would just take 1.9mm for the BH. I myself play with t05fx and enjoy it a lot. And I really did feel the difference in "control" for 1.9 vs 2.1: some of the blocks, which should've gone out, land on table, it's easier to engage the rubber, etc.
  5. BH rubber advice

From your videos (if they are representative) it looks and sounds (the bh rubber clicks) like you're playing mostly topspins on your backhand, rather than flat drives. Off-the-bounce counter topspins, short stroke, but certainly topspins. On your forehand you play kinda the same thing...
  6. 1 Game of Mine. Please give me advice

It's a pretty decent level for someone who plays for less than a year (right?): great spinny forehand loop against a spinny push. No problem with the timing of your attack, it's right on time. You're a bit stiff and the shape of the stroke is not optimal, but without coaching it's already an...
  7. Help: Which shloud i Buy Nittaku Acustic vs BT Innerforce ZLF?

If you just want to change the blade and stick to G1s I would second stiga infinity: these rubbers feel fantastic on it. On the other hand I didn't like fastarc g1 on the fh of acoustic at all. Can't say anything about if zlf.
  8. Do you really want to learn something?

    > I just don't understand where the problem could be because the units are right. 2π here or there?
  9. Stiga VPS Infinity

Assuming you're executing a backhand loop, t05 (in 2.1?) may be too hard and too thick for you. Infinity goes well with rakza 7 on fh and bh in 2mm, and now I have one with fastarc g1 on fh and rakza 7 on bh. Baracuda in 2mm is good on bh too. t05fx in 2.1 is too thick for me but will most...
  10. Just tried ZJK ZLC, why don't people like ZLC?

Do you play with rubbers, blades? How is it possible to test rubbers or blades? He tested how t19 and t05 behave on different blades. That's easily one of the most useful reviews on YouTube and internet in general: a world class player confirms what has been "debunked" long ago on multiple tt...
  11. Just tried ZJK ZLC, why don't people like ZLC?

It's not about the speed of tenergy, there's just no synergy between it and koto (or koto/kiri combination) on the forehand somehow: no dwell and you have to hit harder to penetrate the sponge. This is actually not bad in topspin rallies, but requires more effort when incoming ball is slow. With...
  12. Just tried ZJK ZLC, why don't people like ZLC?

It's probably because of the dignics rubbers. I tried once a zjk szlc with d05 on it and the feeling was very nice: fast, springy, with some good dwell, somewhat resembling tenergy on hinoki. And I'm really not a fan of koto-alc (viscaria or tb alc) with tenergy on the forehand. I don't think...
  13. Tenergy 05fx on forehand

It depends on your game, really. I have T05FX on Mizutani's FH and like it a lot, it's convenient and precise in short game and open ups. Off the table counter topspins are doable but you have to be precise -- I guess that's more or less universal for soft sponges. The problem is I really lack...
  14. Wet ball - let?

There was a match where Timo dиmped a ball into net and then showed the wet mark to the umpire. The point was given to Timo.
  15. Dignics 09c vs dignics 05

I guess, the question is whether you engage the sponge of d05/d09c during your topspin stroke. Do you hear it clicking? More importantly, do you hear it clicking during the match play? But maybe it's not necessary, see below. Personally, I kinda liked an old sheet of d05 that I tried for 10...
  16. Andro hexer grip vs Tenergy fx80

Hexer grip is spinny and good rubber, but it's softer, less spinny and slower than t05fx/t80fx. The sponge is not so... juicy and on apolonia zlc it almost immediately bottoms out. On the other hand lower gears are easier to engage, but it's an obvious usual trade-off. So, I prefer hexer grip...
  17. Screamer of a blade

Thanks a lot for sharing! That's very interesting.
  18. Darko Jorgic - best backhand ever?

I'd say choppers give you time and small sweet spot doesn't really matter when playing against them. With his levers backhand loop against choppers turns into fun. No offensive player will give him opportunities to charge this way.
  19. New Xiom Novus blades (Redesigned)

    Thanks! Pretty narrow then.
  20. New Xiom Novus blades (Redesigned)

Hi Yogi, Do the handles resemble those of the "feel" series? Could you compare handles with other brands perhaps?
