  1. Update equipment?

Also consider joining a club. Most people be happy to share their equipment to try. If you are an intermediate player the rubber will not make that much difference. Just pick something relatively modern i.e. Rakza 7, Rozena, Xiom Vega or Victas Ventus.
  2. Update equipment?

Just rubbers. Rakza 7 great choice.
  3. People who switched from carbon back to wood, how’s it going?

Welp..I would add Tibhar Curious to that list of fancy all wood blades. Totally underrated, dirt cheap.
  4. Any rubber cutting tricks for scissors?

Welp. I've seen this live today https://www.megaspin.net/store/default.asp?pid=rev3-scissors And well. They are dope. They are ideal really.
  5. Donic Bluefire M1

I played with that one and I had opposite problem. The M1 had a grip when other rubbers where wacked by moisture. It has a rather matte topsheet, at least the one I used had. Try to engage sponge a bit deeper.
  6. Advice how do I break through my current level ceiling?

Move first Don't try to kill every weird ball, try focusing on getting it to the other side of the table. If you have issues spinning it, try just driving it first If the ball is short (for the oddballs it it usually is short or half-long) there is a good chance you need to step into the table...
  7. Advice how do I break through my current level ceiling?

The stakes are thw difference practice does not force yourself into the nervous state. I addressed this in my post as well.
  8. Advice how do I break through my current level ceiling?

Interestingly enough, this year a new guy joined our "school training group". They guy has like 20 year old paddle with rubbers oxydized so much that they are anti spin in effect. A lot of mine (and even my coaches) balls went to the net because the the spin was hard to predict. Whole theory...

  10. Stuor blades- who has tried them?

Innerforce Layer ALC does have a thicker core than any of the blades mentioned.
  11. Stuor blades- who has tried them?

Keep in mind Harimoto ALC core is supposed to be thicker as far as I remember. In other words "Easier Hitty Hitty, harder loopy loopy".
  12. Stuor blades- who has tried them?

Due to the fact that USD exchange rate risen over my usage of the blades i managed to make some money on those.
  13. Stuor blades- who has tried them?

Just a random reference from the Internet. I am from Poland. We don't have point system, only the league system. Most players do not participate in the league though.
  14. Stuor blades- who has tried them?

Hard to say. Depends on which HL5 you are talking about. Commercial HL5, I would say quite similar after the break in period, but both of those lack a bit of feeling. The Ebony one played nothing like above Commercial HL5. Maybe the HL5 i tried was poopy, but it came from official distribution...
  15. Stuor blades- who has tried them?

One of the players was a good intermediate player. According to this video about ~1650 - 1900. The second player was my first ever coach, and he is in the sport for more than 30 years.
  16. Stuor blades- who has tried them?

I didn't explain anything. Clubmates who bought them usually just test whatever I have and If they like something they buy it. Most people playing locally don't give a nickel about whether blade is by DHS or Stuor. It's either good or not. It either plays well or not :| (and those guys and galls...
  17. Stuor blades- who has tried them?

I have had 2 of those blades. I ended up selling them eventually. They are decent, but you have to give them time to play them in. I don't know why that happened, but after I played 2-3 months with them their properties improved much. Maybe wood have dried or something :| Other clubmates have...
  18. How to break the habit of a too long backswing?

Is this in line with what I wrote couple of posts above? I have hard times visualizing what you are saying.

When it comes to 50+ activities that can help you (based on my first ever coach advice): juggling (improving coordination) (he is pe teacher in our school, and now apparantly every student knows how to juggle, lol) rope skipping, but keeping it really low to avoid joint issue. Especially...
